LG has officially announced the LG K8 2018 days before the Mobile World Congress. The device follows the design line of its predecessor and has a 5-inch LCD screen. Inside we find a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, accompanied by 2 GB of RAM. The new smartphone also comes governed by Android 7 and equips a 2,500 mAh battery. As you can see, it is a very simple mobile, whose price could be around 100 euros. Although at the moment LG has not confirmed the exact launch date, it is known that it will reach Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Simple mobile with 2.5D curved glass
The LG K8 2018 is a fairly simple mobile. Its design is very on par with its predecessor, the LG K8 2017. It wears a rounded metallic frame, which is complemented by its 2.5D curved glass. It is not too thick a model. Its exact measurements are 146.3 x 73.2 x 8.2 mm and its weight is 152 grams. It also has a 5-inch screen with an HD resolution of 1,280 x 720. In this sense, it has not changed with respect to the previous model. Of course, LG has brought the logo in this new generation to the back of the phone. Also, the speaker phone now matches the black front panel. The fingerprint reader is still present at the back, both for making payments and to increase security.
Adjusted power and Android Nougat
Inside the LG K8 2018 there is room for a quad-core processor running at a speed of 1.3 GHz. This chip is accompanied by a 2 GB RAM, expandable through the use of microSD cards. It is a fairly adjusted power, although enough to use light apps, browse or talk on WhatsApp. Regarding the photographic section, the LG K8 2018 has an 8-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The device includes a new functionality called Flash Jump Shot, which takes a photo every three seconds (up to 20 photos) to put them all together later in a beautiful GIF. Flash Jump Shot can be used with both the front and rear cameras.
As for the rest of the features, the LG K8 2018 will land in the market governed by Android 7.1.2 Nougat. In turn, it equips a 2,500 mAh non-removable battery. The connections section is quite complete. It has Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, WiFi, LTE, NFC and USB 2.0.
Availability and price
As reported by LG, the new device will be seen at the Mobile World Congress , which will take place from February 26 to March 1. For now, no prices have been announced, although the LG K8 2018 is expected to be around 100 euros. It will be available in many markets in Europe, Latin America or Asia.
