How to change the function of the keys on your Windows PC

There are times when we would like to change the keys on our keyboard , that is, assign another function than the one that came by default. In others, we could use disabling some of the functions since it could hinder our work. For example, in my personal case, on my PC keyboard, there is a key function that has no value assigned and I am interested in showing, for example, the calculator function.

In order to 'remap', eliminate key functions or assign different ones on the keyboard of our PC we must install a program that facilitates this task. In this particular case we have opted for the 'Keytweak' program that we can download from the Softonic page without any problem. To download the program, we just have to enter this link and click on the box 'Download free for Windows'.

Installing Keytweak on your computer is very quick and easy. Once done, we will proceed to open the program to begin remapping the keys you want. When the program is installed, you may not find the shortcut to enter it. You can find it in ' Disk C: / program files (x86) / KeyTweak '. We double click on the icon.

A window will open like this. In it we will have a graphic drawing of our keyboard. We advise you to get hold of it, by clicking on the keys with the mouse and seeing what function we have assigned to the keyboard of our PC. Now, we only have to choose, on the virtual keyboard , the key that we want to remap or disable from the computer keyboard that we use regularly. In the case of wanting to disable the function of a key, I just have to choose it with the mouse and click on 'Disable Key'. Then you would have to restart the laptop for the changes to take effect.
