The Samsung Galaxy A31 has just been released without prior notice from the company. Although the rumors pointed to a very close date, it seems that the manufacturer has decided to give birth to its mid-range phone without any presentation to the media. The successor to the A30 comes with two major improvements over the original model. The first and most relevant has to do with increasing battery capacity. The second novelty comes under the arms of the cameras. Now Samsung has decided to integrate two complementary cameras that will help provide the terminal with greater versatility.

Scandal drums and a design that repeats lines
5,000 mAh of capacity is the amount that Samsung has stuffed into the chassis of the Galaxy A31. This improvement represents a 25% increase in capacity in purely technical data . Although the most surprising is the little growth in its dimensions compared to the Galaxy A30.
Specifically, the Galaxy A31 has a thickness of 8.6 millimeters and a weight of only 185 grams . This is largely due to the construction materials - plastic running the length and width of the entire chassis. It is accompanied by the same fast charging system of the Galaxy A30 15 W and a screen that repeats technology, dimensions and resolution: 6.4 inches with AMOLED technology and Full HD + resolution. Perhaps the biggest difference from the 2019 model is the integration of the fingerprint sensor under the screen . Also the camera module, which now significantly expands its optical glass to house the four sensors, which we will talk about below.
Major improvement in cameras
The photographic section of the Galaxy A31 has been completely renewed if we compare it with its predecessor. Four 48, 8, 5 and 5 megapixel cameras with a lens configuration very similar to that of the Galaxy A51 that we were able to analyze a few weeks ago: wide angle, macro and bokeh. It is to be expected, therefore, that the results are practically identical, since the differences are negligible both in resolution and in focus aperture.
As for the front camera, the phone uses a 20 megapixel sensor. With an f / 2.2 focal aperture, the camera features a software-based face unlock system.
Few differences in phone hardware
As is customary in the company, Samsung has not provided the processor model of the Galaxy A31. At the moment it is only known that it has an 8-core module with 2 cores at 2 GHz and another 6 cores at 1.7 GHz .
Where we do appreciate a tangible improvement is in the amount of RAM and internal storage present in the terminal. 4 and 6 GB of RAM and 64 and 128 GB of internal storage expandable up to 512 GB. It is known to have NFC and dual-band WiFi. The rest of the connections are still unknown.
Price and availability of the Samsung Galaxy A31 in Spain
The company has not given any information about the price and availability of the Galaxy A31 in any of the countries where it operates. Predictably, it will arrive in Spain next April at a price that could start from 210 euros , like its predecessor.
