How to take screenshots with Windows

Sometimes  a picture is worth a thousand words . Therefore, below we will show you how to take a screenshot on a computer with Windows , Microsoft's operating system . To do this, the first thing you have to see is whether the capture is going to be done with Windows XP, Windows 7 or Windows 8 .

A) Windows XP or Windows 7. If you are going to take a screenshot with Windows XP or Windows 7, you have to locate the Alt key . It is the one to the left of the space, at the bottom of the keyboard. Then look for the one that says Print Screen . It is usually on the top buttons of the device, next to F12 . When you have them,  press both at the same time . You have to keep in mind that, depending on the type of keyboard you have, the names may vary slightly.

Then hit Start . It's that big button at the bottom left of your screen. It has the Windows logo , which are four colored squares. Then a gray screen will be displayed, click on the tab that says Accessories . You will see that another panel that is made up of a series of programs will reopen. You have to open Paint , which is the one that has a logo of some colored brushes inside a glass.

You will see that a screen is displayed in which, at the top, it says Edition . Click on that icon and, right after, hit paste. When the image appears in the window of Paint , click File , located on the top left. Later, click Save As . When a box is displayed, go to where it says File Name . There you will have to put the title of the image. At the bottom, it will appear in which format you want to save it (.png, .jpg ... etc). You already have your screenshot ready to print or share with your friends.

Windows 8

B) Windows 8. On the contrary, if you want to take a screenshot with Windows 8, the operation changes. Here, you have three options:

1.  If you want to take a screenshot and save it as a . Click on the Windows logo key . It is the one that has four squares together, forming a window. Then press Print Screen at the same time  . If you have a tablet with this operating system, you will have to click on the same Windows logo and press the Volume Down button at the same time , located to the left of the device. The image will be saved in the folder that says Screen Capture , under Images .

2. Take a screenshot without saving it . For example, if you want to take a screenshot but want it in a specific format, the best thing you can do is paste the image into a program . To do this, you have to press the Print Screen key , which you can later paste wherever you want by opening any platform that allows it. Like for example, Paint or Word .

3. To take a screenshot of only one window . All you have to do in this step is click on the window that you want to make the screenshot. Next, hit Print Screen . Finally, paste the image with the Control + V keys wherever you want.
