Panasonic has taken advantage of the first technology event of the year, CES in Las Vegas , to present a new family of SLR cameras. Among them, the Lumix FZ82 stands out , which surprises with its objective with the capacity to make a 60x optical zoom that can be doubled thanks to the digital zoom up to 120x . All this with a really fast autofocus that gives it the necessary skills to be a sports or nature camera , in which to capture an immediate moment clearly from long distance and even in motion.

In the body of this Lumix FZ82 a sensor is integrated MOS of 18.1 megapixel resolution, plus an image processing LSI Venus Engine . Chips and sensors that allow taking  videos in 4K (3840 × 2160) at 25 frames per second . Or in Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) at 50 frames, both in Progressive AVCHD and MP4 . Its components allow you to extract 4K resolution photos directly from video recording, just as it happens with the most remarkable mobiles on the market. Something that offers the perfect capture, since it is capable of registering up to 150 images in five seconds .

However, as we mentioned at the beginning, it is its LUMIX DC VARIO lens that draws attention. It kind of wide angle of 20 mm , and its optical zoom enlarges the image up to 60x , which resembles a target of 35 mm (20-1200mm). Its angle of view is 140% wider than a 24mm lens . It also includes an OIS optical image stabilizer . With what to get images without shaking when being recorded directly by hand, without a tripod.

Another important aspect of this lens, aside from zoom , is autofocus . And is that Panasonic has achieved great speed and focus precision by including DFD (Depth from Defocus) technology. This consists of calculating the distance to the object being focused by comparing two images of different levels of sharpness . All of this really fast , with an exchange speed of 240 frames per second . In this way, in AF , it achieves a focus of 0.09 seconds , a speed that is cut even more when using long focal lengths.
