eBay has decided to put the batteries and adapt its services to market demand. It is not that online stores do not continue to be successful, but that more and more individuals want to sell online objects that they no longer use, a niche that Wallapop successfully echoed. Currently in the Spanish market two applications are the stars of this type of "barter" sale for individuals: the aforementioned Wallapop and Vibbo, the Segundamano.es application .
As we said, it is now the giant of internet sales, eBay, who has decided to join this type of market, but it is not doing it alone . eBay has joined forces with Cash Converters , the leading second-hand store chain in the Spanish market, followed only closely by Cex , another chain that is dedicated to second-hand but exclusively in the technology sector.
The service offered by Venta Express is similar to what we would find in a physical Cash Converters store but with the convenience of not leaving home. We upload the product, they price it, they tell us how much they offer us for it and if we accept the deal they collect it themselves and then resell it through Ebay.
With this type of service, collaborative consumption is supported, and it is possible to give a second chance to all those “junk” that we have at home and we do not know what to do with them . In any case, only products that are in good condition are accepted, if something is broken, does not work or looks excessively hackneyed, they will not buy it directly from us.
How does the Express Sale work?
The process to register our products is really simple, we have to go to the website that they have created expressly for it, and we will fill in all the data of the form that they request: name, surname, email and of course the photos of the item in question that we are going to sell. When we submit the form, the Cash Converters and eBay team will inspect our item and within a maximum period of 24 hours they will tell us if they buy it from us and at what price. If we accept, they will send a courier to pick it up and check its status, if they decide to buy it they will make us a non-binding offer that we can decline or accept within 48 hours .The collection is free as long as the purchase exceeds 50 euros, regardless of whether it is one item or several.
Venta Express undertakes to pay us the agreed amount within a maximum period of 24 hours . Once the whole sale process has been completed, Cash Converters will put our product on sale on its own eBay page, yes, for an amount much higher than the amount we have been paid for it.
What can we sell?
As in Wallapop and Vibbo, we can sell practically everything with a few exceptions. These exceptions are food, medicine and, of course, animals. Remember that all items will pass the equipment filter before being purchased and if any do not comply with the community standards they will be rejected.
