5 tricks you did not know about the Huawei Mate 8

Huawei Mate 8

The Huawei Mate 8 is Huawei's flagship mobile for the first half of 2016. A team with a huge 6-inch screen and a technical set at the height of the largest. In its guts we find a Kirin 950 processor, one of the fastest chips on the market. And a camera with a resolution of 16 megapixels can compete in performance with models like the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge + or Sony Xperia Z5 Premium . Or an impressive 4,000 milliamp battery that will help us use the equipment for more than two days in a row. All this with a price of 600 euros for its 32 GB version. If you have done withHuawei Mate 8 or you are thinking of buying one, we tell you five tricks that you probably do not know about the team and we leave you the link of its complete analysis at the end.

1. Change the background theme with a simple movement

If you are one of the people who get bored easily by having the same wallpaper on your mobile, the Huawei Mate 8 incorporates a very interesting function. With this phone we can change the background image of the screen just by shaking the phone sideways. To activate this feature, go to the "Wallpapers" menu in the phone settings and activate the "Shake to change" option.

2. Record the screen of the Huawei Mate 8

A very interesting trick if you want to share your best Android games with your friends or with the world. Or if you want to visually explain to a family member how to carry out a task on the phone step by step. To start recording the screen of the Huawei Mate 8 , just tap  the screen twice with two knuckles. Then we have three seconds to choose if we want to record the video in HD or normal quality . In the upper left corner an icon will appear in the shape of a video camera with the time we have been recorded. When we finish, just press on it and the video will be saved in memory. Below we have left a sample of how the tool works with the Asphalt 8: Airborne game.

3. Access hidden applications

The Huawei Mate 8 has a special function to hide apps that we do not want to be shown at first glance. A very useful trick to avoid, for example, that a friend or family member gossips about the photo gallery . To activate it, just make a zoom gesture on the main screen. A simple menu with an icon will appear at the top to add new apps. Once we have configured it, you can only enter the app by doing this zoom gesture. It is true that anyone who knows the trick will be able to enter, but it is a good first line of barrier against prying eyes. Of course, if your interest is to keep the gallery safe, be careful, because also through the icon of the photos in the camera you enter (even with the hidden app).

4. Quick access to the camera

This is a very simple trick, but if you haven't figured it out yet, it's really useful. Even with the screen off, if we press the volume down button twice, the camera application will open automatically . This is a feature that many mobile phones are already incorporating, such as the recent Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 (in this case, by pressing the start button twice).

5. The lock screen shortcuts

Another interesting option, although here you have to pull the Huawei guys by the ears. When we drag our finger from the bottom up with the lock screen on, we will see a simple menu with four shortcuts to phone options. The first one is for taking a voice memo. The second to open the calculator . The third to turn on the flashlight and the fourth to open the chamber . The problem is that if we have a password configured to unlock the phone, the keyboard and icons overlap, which makes this feature less bright.
