To add or remove categories or tabs from the Gmail inbox, the first thing you have to do is go to the Settings section in your account. You will see it in the upper right, the icon shaped like a gear wheel. Next you will see a series of options (General, labels, accounts and import ...) Among all of them, click on the Received tab.

Within this tab, enter the "Inbox type" section. Then choose Default . Keep in mind that to hide all the tabs, you must select another type of inbox (important, starred, unread or priority). Therefore, in the "Categories" section, check the boxes of the tabs you want to show. Of course, you will not be able to create tabs, only show or hide the ones that already exist.
