Samsung SUHD KS8000 series with Smart TV from 2016

The best image quality without curves. Samsung SUHD KS8000 televisions arrive ready to seduce users. In terms of design, it is integrated into a virtually priceless frame. In addition, it incorporates an enhanced LED illuminated liquid crystal panel with Quantum Dot Color technology and SUHD (Samsung Enhanced Ultra High Definition) resolution . With Peak Illuminator Pro technology  to enhance color,  Motion Rate 240 to control motion, and Ultra Black to reduce reflections, the Samsung KS8000 achieves excellent image quality. Design

The KS8000 series follows the same design that incorporates the top of the range, the Samsung KS9500 . The big difference between them is that the KS8000 series  incorporates a flat panel instead of a curved one. The KS8000's design is highlighted by a slight silver frame that surrounds the entire screen. Although it is not invisible, the frame is practically imperceptible. A large Y-shaped base is used to hold the television, also in silver. The base design runs across the entire rear of the TV, with a metal strip running from end to end. It is a clean and light design, but it gives it a very elegant touch.

In terms of connections, the Samsung KS8000 incorporates 4 HDMI connectors , 3 USB ports , an Ethernet port , a port for optical audio output and the antenna input. It also has a built-in WiFi connection . The panel of the Samsung KS8000 is only 40.8 millimeters thick and we can find it in different screen sizes: 49, 55, 65 and up to 75 inches .

Although it is not the top of the range of the company, the KS8000 series is within the high range of Samsung televisions . Thus, it offers all the technology of the Koreans to try to achieve the best image quality on the market. Samsung still does not want to go to OLED technology and for this it continues to squeeze the LED panels . This time we have before us a 10-bit panel with SUHD 4K resolution  and Quantum Dot Color technology , which ensures sharper and more realistic colors.

The Samsung KS8000  also incorporates technology HDR1000 with that achieved more accurately show the extensive range of light and dark levels of an image to be as lifelike as possible. With this technology, together with Precision Black , images with deep black and vibrant colors are achieved.

Taking into account that LED panels are very sensitive to reflections, and even more accentuated when we talk about a flat panel, Samsung has also incorporated Ultra Black technology in the Samsung KS8000 . Technology Ultra Black gets reduce glare on the screen using nanoscale patterns patented by Samsung .

The Samsung KS8000 achieves fluid movement through the use of Motion Rate 240 . The Input Lag in Game mode is reduced to 40 milliseconds , which makes the KS8000 a good option for gamers and lovers of watching sports on television. Finally, it should be noted that Samsung has incorporated its SUHD Remastering Engine scaling engine  into the KS8000 , which achieves a decent image quality in lower resolution broadcasts, such as DTT channels .

Sound

The increasingly thin panels of the new televisions have a great disadvantage: the sound. The manufacturers try to improve it in their new models, but you cannot work miracles in so few centimeters. Even so, the Samsung KS8000 incorporates a 4.1 sound system that offers a total power of 60W , 20W in each speaker and another 10W in each of the woofer that it incorporates. The system supports Dolby Digital Plus  and DTS Premium Sound 5.1 . It also offers the possibility of connecting a Bluetooth headset directly to the TV.

Smart tv

Samsung has decided to continue using its Tizen OS operating system on its 2016 televisions. At the moment it seems that it is not attracted to switching to Android , as Sony or Philips have done . And is that using your own system allows you to fully customize it to your liking, thus being able to have exclusive applications. However, in the new models the operating system interface has been renewed. The Samsung KS8000 incorporates a new Smart Hub menu  reorganized to offer more clearly your favorite applications and programs.

To move this new interface, the Samsung KS8000 uses a Quad Core processor , which offers enough power to get a fast response when running applications. In addition, the new Samsung TV offers the ability to multitask with Multi-Link Screen . We can even play directly through the video game streaming service that the company has launched together with Playstation Now .

Smart control

Samsung has incorporated the new Smart Control controls into its new televisions . According to the company, with the new remote we can control practically any device that we have connected to the TV via HDMI . Koreans are working to incorporate more and more compatible devices. The new televisions will recognize devices automatically and set up the remote quickly, without the need for complicated steps. Or at least that's what the company has announced. For example, in the presentation of televisions it was possible to see how they controlled an Xbox One with the television remote control.

Samsung also wants to win over users who do not like curves at all but are looking for the best possible image quality.
