Lenovo recently presented and is about to launch its Tab 4. It is a set of up to four tablets: The Lenovo Tab 4 of 8 and 10 inches, followed by the Tab 4 Plus, also 8 and 10 inches . They are two devices with prices of 170 and 180 euros, respectively, in the case of the Tab 4, and 280 and 300 euros in the case of the Tab 4 Plus. We are going to make a comparison between both tablets so that you can decide which one best suits your needs.
Design and display
In this case, the name Plus does not refer to size, since both the Lenovo Tab 4 and the Tab 4 Plus come with 8 and 10-inch models. Where we are going to find a difference is in the resolution of that screen. On the Tab 4, the screen resolution is 1,200 x 800 pixels, slightly higher than HD. However, the Lenovo Tab 4 Plus raises that resolution above Full HD . Specifically, 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. It is certainly a remarkable difference.
Where we also find a difference is in the aesthetic part. Both the Lenovo Tab 8 and 10 have a glass and plastic design, while the Lenovo Tab 8 and 10 Plus use aluminum, offering a more premium look . The Tab 4 models are more geared towards the whole family, while the Tab 4 Plus are more geared towards work.
For the Tab 4 8 and Tab 4 10 models, Lenovo offers a Kid's pack. This pack includes resistant covers for children, as well as stickers and a light filter. In any case, both the Tab 4 and Tab 4 Plus are available in black and white.

performance
Power is another clear differentiator between both families of tablets. The Lenovo Tab 8 and 10, on the one hand, carry a 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8917 chip with 2 GB of RAM . That hardware is the same for both the 16GB and 32GB models.
On the other hand, there are the Lenovo Tab 4 8 and 10 Plus. Here we notice an important qualitative leap, going to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with eight cores at 2 GHz . The two storage possibilities, 16 or 64 GB, correspond to 3 and 4 GB of RAM, respectively. It is undoubted since the Tab 4 Plus are much more focused on an intensive work environment. Of course, the two families work with Android 7 Nougat.
Camera and audio
The Lenovo Tab 4 8 and 10 use two cameras, front and rear. The rear has 5 megapixels, with autofocus, and the front, 2 . It is a fairly basic equipment. However, if we go to the Tab 4 Plus, things change. The rear camera becomes 8 megapixels with autofocus, and the front 5 megapixels.
In the audio section we find no difference. Thus, both have two Dolby Atmos certified speakers , which guarantees surround stereo sound.
Autonomy and connections
Models 8 and 10 inches of Lenovo Tab 4 and Tab 4 Plus guarantee up to 12 hours of autonomy . In the 8-inch cases, through a 4,850 milliamp battery. In the 10-inch cases, the battery capacity goes up to 7,000 milliamps. Furthermore, the charging port of the Tab 4 8 and 10 is a USB 2.0, while in the Tab 4 Plus it is a USB Type C, which guarantees a faster and more stable charge.
As for the rest of the connections, in both cases we find Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The WiFi will be accompanied by LTE , through nanoSIM. The main difference is in the fingerprint reader, an element that the Tab 4 Plus has, but the Tab 4 does not.
Price and conclusion
The 8-inch Lenovo Tab 4 will cost 170 euros, while the 10, 180 euros . For their part, the 8 and 10-inch Tab 4 Plus will cost 260 and 300 euros, respectively. As we can see, they are very affordable prices that adapt to the capabilities of each device.
During this comparison it has become clear that the Lenovo Tab 4 and Tab 4 Plus families have different audiences . Thus, the former are focused on leisure use, especially aimed at the little ones. However, the Tab 4 Plus offer high performance and a more work-oriented screen resolution. Therefore, when deciding on one model or another, it is important that you are clear about what its main use is going to be, and who is going to use it. From there, the decision is clear.
