Last month Microsoft introduced its new family of Surface devices. Among them were the new Surface and Surface Go tablets, but also the Surface Book 3 convertible and the Surface Headphones 2. These last two arrive today in Spain and we already know their price and characteristics. So let's take a look at what the new Suface Book 3 and Surface Headphones 2 offer us .
Suface Book 3
The Surface Book 3 is, in the words of the manufacturer itself, the most powerful Microsoft laptop in history. It is a computer that has been designed for professionals who need the performance of a desktop PC, but with the versatility of a tablet and a light and thin laptop.
I mean, one of the Surface Book 3's biggest draws is its design. It is a hybrid between laptop and tablet , since we can “detach” the screen from the keyboard and use only the part of the screen. And if we don't want to remove the screen, we can also rotate it completely thanks to the 360-degree hinge that the device includes.
The Surface Book 3 is available in two sizes: 13.5 and 15 inches . Both have a PixelSense touch screen , with a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels on the 13.5-inch and 3,240 x 2,160 pixels on the 15-inch model.
In terms of weight, the 13.5-inch Surface Book 3 weighs 1,534 grams ; while the 15-inch model reaches 1,905 grams . Both data are with the keyboard included.
As usual, the Surface Book 3 is available with various hardware configurations. The 13.5-inch model is available with either an Intel Core i5-1035G7 processor or an Intel Core i7-1065G7 , both 10th generation. The 15-inch model, however, is only available with an Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor.
Accompanying the Intel processors we will have up to 32 GB of LPDDR4x memory at 3733 Mhz , with 8 GB of base in the 13.5-inch model and 16 GB in the 15-inch model. When it comes to storage, we start from 256 PCIe SSDs and can go up to 1 TB .
Also very important in a team designed for heavy tasks is the graphics. This varies depends on the screen size and the processor we choose. The 13.5-inch Surface Book 3 with i5 processor has an integrated Intel Iris Plus graphics . This same model, but with an i7 processor, has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 with Max-Q Design and 4 GB GDDR5 dedicated.
The 15-inch Surface Book 3 is the most powerful model, with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics with Max-Q Design and 6GB GDDR6 graphics memory.
As we mentioned before, the Surface Book 3 is a laptop designed for professionals and that is reflected in the price.
The new Microsoft laptop is now available both in the Microsoft Store and in the usual retailers. The Surface Book 3 starts at a price of 1,800 euros , corresponding to the 13.5-inch model with an i5 processor and 8 GB of RAM. The most expensive model can reach 3,350 euros, corresponding to the 15-inch Surface Book 3 with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
Surface Headphones 2
Today the Surface Headphones 2 , the last headphones that Microsoft presented, also go on sale . They feature 13 levels of ambient noise cancellation , touch controls, and voice control. In addition, according to manufacturer data, it offers an autonomy of up to 20 hours.
The new Surface Headphones 2 can only be purchased, for now, through the Microsoft store. They are available in light gray and matt black , with an official price of 280 euros .
