Meizu has just unveiled a new phone for the mid-range that it has dubbed the Meizu 16Xs. The new device follows in the wake of the Meizu 16X announced last September, although it has improved on its predecessor in some characteristics. This new model now comes with a larger 6.2-inch screen, a triple camera and more battery (4,000n mAh with fast charge). It is also governed by Android 9 Pie under the customization layer of the FlymeOS company.
The terminal has been put on sale for the moment only in China at a price from 220 euros, depending on the version. Keep reading if you want to know all the details in full.

The design of the Meizu 16Xs is very similar to that of its older brother. It has an all-screen front, where there is almost no presence of notches on both sides or notch, something that many users will appreciate. According to the company, it has a screen-to-body ratio of more than 90%, so the absolute prominence is taken by the panel. The terminal is built in glass and metal, following the line of many other Meizu models. It is a beautiful mobile, finished in different colors and a bright tone that changes according to the light.
It should be noted a fingerprint reader under the screen, capable of detecting the finger and unlocking the equipment in 0.2 seconds. Inside the Meizu 16Xs there is room for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, an eight-core chip accompanied by 6 GB of DDR4 RAM and 64 or 128 GB storage, to be chosen by the user. As for the photographic section, the terminal includes a Samsung main sensor with 48 megapixels and a focal aperture f / 1.7, so we can capture photos with very good light in dark situations. It is followed by another 5 megapixel sensor with an aperture in this case of f / 1.9. These two go hand in hand with a third 8-megapixel lens with an f / 2.0 aperture. In addition, the Meizu terminal has night mode and HDR.
As for the rest of the features, the Meizu 16Xs equips a 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging and is governed by Android 9 Pie under the customization layer of the company Flyme OS.
Price and availability
The Meizu 16Xs went on sale today in its native China in four colors to choose from: black, white, blue and coral. These are the prices according to the model:
- Meizu 16Xs of 6 + 64 GB: 220 euros to change.
- Meizu 16Xs of 6 + 128 GB: 260 euros to change.
