The cameras that we find in smartphones have more and more quality and more possibilities in the world of photography. If you thought that the camera of your mobile only serves to take portraits you are very wrong. In this post we explain how you can create an Excel table from a photo with your mobile camera.
Making an Excel table can be one of the most boring tasks , especially when you have to fill a large number of rows and columns with data that is very similar. Microsoft is aware of this, and has prepared a surprise for us.
That's how easy it is to make a table from a photo with Excel
The current beta version of Excel includes a functionality that allows users to create a table from a photo taken with the mobile camera. This is something really useful, which can save us a lot of time in our daily work. Many times Excel tables are first made by hand in draft form, and then passed into the program. It is this last step that you can save with the new function.
For now, this new Excel function is exclusive to the beta program of the application, so it is not yet available in the stable version that can be downloaded from Google Play. In order to use it, you first have to join the Excel beta program , either for Android or iOS.
Once you have joined the Excel beta program and downloaded the application, you can continue with this simple trick to create a table very quickly from a photo.
To do this, the first thing we have to do is open the Excel application that we have just installed. Once open, we will see a button dedicated to this new function . We press the button and the camera will open.
Now we have to take a photo of the table that we want to convert to Excel.
We press the large circular red button to accept the photo. After that, the image will be processed on Microsoft's servers, and a preliminary result will be returned . The result that is achieved is not yet perfect, so it gives us the option to edit the result manually to fix any errors that may appear.
Click on "Insert" and we will have our table in Excel format to be able to work with it more comfortably.
It's that simple to create an Excel table from a photo.
