OLED screen as the protagonist

Not long ago mid-range terminals had to settle for IPS panels, AMOLED and OLED technology was reserved for high-end devices. Huawei has wanted to integrate a 6.3-inch panel with OLED technology in the Huawei P Smart S. This decision ensures that it has a window to the digital world of good quality and with which you can enjoy watching multimedia content. Of course, the resolution is conservative: Full HD +. In addition, on this screen we will not find risky proposals to camouflage the camera, instead it has opted for the notch in the form of a drop.

The use of the front is in the average, the side frames have been reduced and the only one that stands out for its thickness is the lower one. In addition, the fingerprint reader is integrated in this front. It is located under the screen and is optical so it needs to light up when unlocking. If we make the leap to the rear we find glass in a glossy finish. There is not much to highlight about this rear, everything is where it needs to be. The module that houses the three cameras is located on the upper left side. The metal sides house the button panel and on the bottom the connections for charging (USB C) and the headphone port.

Kirin 710F and 4GB of RAM inside

By separating the glass and metal sandwich that forms the Huawei P Smart S, we would find an interior in which the center of operations is the Kirin 710F processor along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB for storage. The only detail that may surprise users is that this storage is expandable via NM Cards and not traditional microSD cards. What we are clear about is that they are more than respectable technical specifications for a device in its range. In addition, Huawei does not forget autonomy and this is marked by a 4,000mAh battery with a 10W charge. In terms of connectivity, we have everything to expect: NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 4G and LTE. The only absence is 5G, but we already know that if we want that connectivity we have to go to other terminals such as the Huawei P40 Lite 5G. If we talk about the software, the Huawei P Smart S arrives with Android 10 under EMUI 10.1 and without Google services pre-installed.

Triple rear camera

Huawei bets on cameras and the proof of this are its flagship terminals. Of course, it does not leave the rest of the ranges in oblivion. The Huawei P Smart S lands with a triple camera, the main one is 48 megapixels with a focal aperture f / 1.8. The secondary lens is intended for the wide angle, it is 8 megapixels and has 120 degrees of width, its focal aperture is f / 2.4. The third and last camera is a 2 megapixel sensor designed for blur effect photography. The front camera has a 16 megapixel sensor and its focal aperture is f / 2.0.

Price and availability of the Huawei P Smart S

The Huawei P Smart S has been sighted in Italian lands, so it is most likely that it will step on Spanish territory soon. All we need is that Huawei confirmed the launch in Spain, meanwhile we can get an idea of its price: 250 euros for the only version available (4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage) arrives to try to gain a foothold in a highly competitive range And it does it without Google services, we can only wait to see if users bet on this terminal.
