LG remains determined to seduce users with greater purchasing power. In June 2017 we saw the launch of the LG Signature brand, a line of premium products from the Korean manufacturer. It included the spectacular LG OLED W7 television. Now the manufacturer dares with high definition audio . And for this it has partnered with Meridian Audio, a company specialized in high fidelity audio.
Together they bring a whole series of high definition audio devices to the market . From the LG SK10Y soundbar, to the LG PK5, PK7 and WK7 wireless speakers. We are going to review the products that make up this new range and their characteristics.
LG SK10Y sound bar
One of the main pieces of the new range of audio products from LG and Meridian is the LG SK10Y soundbar . This has 5.1.2 channels and Dolby Atmos sound , which allows you to create 360-degree surround sound.
In addition, it has Hi-Res audio tuned by Meridian , which reaches a quality of 24 bits and 192 KHz. The bar supports FLAC, WAC and ALAC files.
It also has Adaptative Sound Control . This system automatically adjusts the sound equalizer based on the content played.
The sound bar is accompanied by a wireless subwoofer , which will reinforce the bass. In addition, it offers the possibility of wirelessly connecting a pair of SPK8-S speakers to function as surround back speakers. This will allow us to get a real 5.1 system.
In terms of connectivity, it is equipped with Google Chromecast and is compatible with most streaming music services. On its back we find two HDMI inputs compatible with 4K , an optical digital audio input, an auxiliary input and an Ethernet connector. In addition, it has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

PK5, PK7 and WK7 wireless speakers
Along with the soundbar, LG and Meridian Audio have launched several wireless speakers. The main model is the LG WK7, which has Google Assistant to become the control center for all the company's ThinQ devices.
It also offers integrated WiFi , thus facilitating its compatibility with other Google Assistant IoT devices, such as Weave or Nest. Plus, it features audio technology designed and equalized by Meridian . It includes Clear Vocal and a bass enhancement, designed to deliver the best high-resolution audio.
Of course, it supports 24-bit / 96kHz high definition audio playback . It is also compatible with LG's multiroom system.
The LG WK7 speaker is now available in the United States, priced at $ 200 . Its price in Europe is still unknown.
On the other hand, the LG PK5 and PK7 are portable outdoor speakers . Both include water resistance so we can use them anywhere. In addition, it offers an autonomy of up to 20 hours .
Both models integrate micro to handle them with voice commands, thanks to Google Assistant. They also have Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity , to be able to play music from any mobile or tablet.
Both the LG PK7 and LG PK5 will go on sale in the United States shortly. The first is priced at $ 250 , while the second stays at $ 150 . Like the rest, its price in Europe is still unknown.
