It only requires a simple previous configuration so that any user can start sending emails without fear of making a mistake.
Just access the Gmail service and click on the gear icon at the top right of the screen. When displaying the menu, just click on Configuration to access the service settings menu. There, on the first screen that appears, you just have to go down until you find the Undo sending function , where you can mark this option to activate it. In addition, in this same section the user finds a second configuration option related to the cancellation time for sending said mail . A time that, by default, is set to 10 seconds , but can be reduced to as low as 10 seconds.5 seconds or expanded to 30 according to user needs. More than enough to check if everything is correct before the message actually goes to the recipient (s). Of course, do not forget to go down to the bottom of this Settings screen and click on the Save changes option to apply them correctly.
With the Undo sending option activated , just compose a new email or reply in the usual way, choosing recipients, subject and the body of the message. The difference is that, after clicking on the Send option , the message can be recovered during the previously established time by clicking on the undo option at the top of the screen . With this, the message does not leave the user's service, allowing any detail or error to be touched up , or preventing it from being sent to the wrong people. Once the cancellation time for the shipment is exceeded, it is impossible to recover said mail, being effectively sent and without the possibility of correcting it.
In short, a simple delay technique when sending an email that, however, will make more than one user have to save explanations or resend an email due to a small error discovered at the last minute. A whole comfort for those who sweat cold every time they click on the Send button .
