It had been rumored for some time that Huawei could be preparing a mobile with Android Go. It has finally become official. The company has presented the Huawei Y3 2018, a low-end terminal with modest features that comes to replace the Huawei Y3 2017.
The little one in the Y range, unlike its older brothers, sports a more classic design, with large frames and rounded lines . As we will now see, it is a fairly modest terminal, which we do not know for sure if it will reach Europe. We tell you its characteristics.

Retro design and very basic technical set
Today it is difficult to find a terminal with an “old” design. That is, a terminal that looks large frames on the front and a design style from a couple of years ago . The Huawei Y3 2018 is like that. But of course, we must bear in mind that we are facing a very basic terminal.
Its body is made of polycarbonate , with rounded edges both at the corners and at the back. The main chamber is located in the central area and sports a round design. It has a small circular frame in silver around it to highlight it. Right below we have the Huawei logo.
In the front we have large frames . The upper one includes the front camera, but the lower one only has the manufacturer's logo. It has a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels
The terminal has a weight of 180 grams and a thickness of 9.45 millimeters . Its color variants include white, gray, and gold.
Inside the Huawei Y3 2018 we find a MediaTek MT6737 processor . This is accompanied by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage .
As for the battery, it has a capacity of 2,280 milliamps . As you can see, it is a very simple device, which does not even have a fingerprint reader.
The photographic section is handled by a main camera with an 8 megapixel sensor . This has an autofocus system and LED flash. On the front we have a 2 megapixel sensor with a fixed focus system.
Finally, the Huawei Y3 2018 will arrive with the Android Go operating system . It is a special version of Android Oreo designed for terminals with very tight technical characteristics. It is a bet by Google to bring most of the new features of its operating system to terminals with less power.
That is, it is a way for Google to be present in the most basic phones . Models that generally had to opt for their own operating system because they did not have enough power to move the most basic version of Android.
At the moment we do not know which markets it could reach, but it is very unlikely that it will be launched in Europe. The price is still unknown.
