The autonomous communities have already released their respective school calendars . You already know that in each of them, these can vary considerably. The holidays are not the same, because they also change in each of the communities, according to saints and patrons, except national ones.
But it is also that each community chooses more or less freely its days of free disposal. In fact, it is the schools that decide, by virtue of local festivals and other practical options to consider . Be that as it may, what we recommend before the end of August is to take a look at the calendar of your autonomous community.
Then you will have to complete your family calendar with the holidays that the school marks, but for now, you will be prepared to have your children at the door of school on the day it is due. And not before, not after. Ready to get going? Well let's go!
Andalusia
Let's start with Andalusia. In all the provinces, classes begin on September 10 for Infant, Primary and Special students and on September 16 for ESO, Bachillerato, FP, EOI, Art and EPA students). Classes will end, respectively, on June 22 and 23, 2020. You must also take into account the holidays of each community, those of free choice and holidays, which are shared in principle:

Aragon
Let's now look at the school calendar in Aragon. This autonomous community, which consists of the provinces of Huesca, Zaragoza and Teruel , also has its 2019-2020 school calendar stipulated and you can download it here. The three provinces share a calendar, so that the beginning and end of classes are the same, depending (yes) on each educational level.
At the bottom of the calendar you will find the non-school days for Huesca, Zaragoza and Teruel. Classes start dates are September 10, 13, 16 and 23 or October 3. Classes with students will end on June 19 and 23.

Principality of Asturias
The Ministry of Education of the Principality of Asturias has already designed its school calendar for the 2019-2020 academic year. In fact, you can download it comfortably in PDF and in different formats , as you need. You have it, for example, in portrait format, in landscape format and in A3 booklet to fold.
Classes start on different days, depending on the educational level. The first will be the students of Infant, Primary and Special Education, next September 10 . Those of the rest of the teachings will gradually begin and end, the majority between June 18 and 23. In the calendar you will also see the holidays and vacations.

Balearics
Let's now continue with the 2019-2020 school calendar of the Balearic Islands. The 2019-20 school calendar has already been published by the Conselleria d'Educació i Universitats de les Illes Balears. Most of the students will start classes on September 11th. Depending on the level and type of teaching, some will start the school period a little later. Classes will end, for most, on June 19, 2020.

Canary Islands
And from one archipelago to another. Now we have the Canary Islands. The students of this autonomous community will start classes, for the most part, on September 9 . These are the Infant, Primary and Special Education. The rest will start on the 11th. This comprehensive calendar, designed by the Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands contains all the holidays, special educational programs and all island holidays. For most of the students, classes will end on June 19, but there are exceptions that you will see perfectly reflected in the calendar.

Cantabria
The Ministry of Education of the Government of Cantabria has already published the 2019-2020 school calendar for all students who must start their classes within a few days. Most will do so between September 9 and October 7, depending on the teaching. For example, those of Infant, Primary and Special Education will have to put on their backpack from the 9th, while those of the Language Teaching under a special regime will not do so until October 7.
Regarding the end of the school period, it must be taken into account that there will also be variations . Some students, especially those in higher education, will start their holidays in May. The others will do so, generally, between June 23 and 25. The calendar, which you can also download here, contains all non-school periods, days of free disposition and vacations.

Castilla la Mancha
Castilla-La Mancha has its own 2019-2020 school calendar, published by the Community Education Council, which you can download in general. For all students, regardless of province, classes will begin on September 9 , although there will be exceptions. Depending on the teaching, such as some specific VET programs, classes may not start until October 1.
The calendar is complete , but due to the particularities of each province, the regional government has created a calendar for each one. Here you have them all: Albacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara and Toledo. In this way, you will find the specific holidays of each province, which may be different. The holidays, both Christmas and Easter, are exactly the same.

Castile and Leon
We now move to the other Castilla, to take a look at the school calendar of this autonomous community. On the website of the Ministry of Education there is a complete calendar that you can consult or, if you prefer, download in PDF format. You will see that the calendar includes specific information about the start and end days of classes. Most students will begin their training this year during the month of September , but the first day for almost everyone will be 9. They will end between June 5 and 23, although most students will do so on the vigil of San Juan. .
The calendar contains very practical information about the tests and exams that will be done throughout the course. And of course, holidays, non-school days and others. Those freely available will have to be indicated by each center , as is usual, which is what you will need to complete the calendar.

Catalonia
The Generalitat de Catalunya has not published an official calendar in a more graphic format , so the one you can download is the one offered by El Periódico de Catalunya. It is what will be best for you to have the days well indicated on a calendar of a lifetime. Later we will give you instructions to create your own calendar, which will allow you to add the local holidays and days of free disposition that the School Council of your educational center has chosen.
Meanwhile, we will tell you that in Catalonia the majority of students will start classes on September 12 . These will be those of Infant, Primary, Secondary, Baccalaureate and Middle Grade Training Cycles. The students of the Higher Grade Training Cycles will begin the school period on September 18.
Keep in mind, of course, that this calendar that we provide is based on the holidays of the province of Barcelona. If you do not reside there, but rather in Lleida, Tarragona or Girona, it will be necessary to adapt the calendar to the holidays in your province.

Ceuta
The autonomous city of Ceuta also has its school calendar ready for the next academic year 2019-2020. Estremadura
The Ministry of Education and Employment of the Junta de Extremadura has already ready the school calendar for the next academic year 2019-2020, which includes all the information related to the course, the school days, the start and end days of classes and also vacations, holidays and days of free disposal . Mérida and Badajoz share the vast majority of events on the calendar, although logically, and as happens in each province, the public holidays of each, the venues and the days of free disposal that each center has chosen in a manner must be taken into account. individualized.
On September 8, the Day of Extremadura is celebrated. But from the 12th, the majority of Extremadura students will return to the classroom. The first will be those of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Special Education and ESO. The students of First and Second of Baccalaureate, those of Basic FP and those of Training Cycles of Middle and Higher Degree will do so on September 13. Madrid's community
The 2019-2020 school calendar prepared by the Ministry of Education of the Community of Madrid is now available to consult or download in PDF format. You can see it from the same web. Madrid students will begin classes from the month of September.
The specific day will depend on the type of teaching . For example, those of nursery schools will do so from day 6, but those of Early Childhood, Primary and Special Education, on 9. The students of ESO and Baccalaureate will return to the classrooms from day 10, as will those of FP , the Official Schools of Languages. It is possible that in Art Schools and other types of centers, always regulated, classes do not start until well into the month of September, around the 23rd. It is important that you look closely at the calendar, because the exceptions are many and varied .
Most students will be able to terminate classes on June 19, 2020 , although in some cases they will do so a little later, on June 23. Pupils from nursery schools, that is, the youngest, will not finish the school period until July 31, 2020. For the rest of the teachings, we recommend that you consult all the annotations indicated on the website that contains this calendar.
It is important that you bear in mind, on the other hand, that here it is necessary to add the local holidays and the days of free disposal that each center has chosen, according to their preferences and needs. With regard to vacations, they follow the normal pattern proposed in most communities.

Murcia region

The Ministry has not developed a graphic calendar that can help us better see how the next school year will develop on dates. You can take a look at this calendar from this page. Most of the students will begin their journey in the classrooms from September 6. Classes will end in June, and depending on the level, from 21 to 28. Foral Community of Navarra
Let's see what is the academic calendar for the next school year 2019-2020 in the Autonomous Community of Navarra. The course will start, for all students, between September 4 and 6. In fact, they will be the ones who start first in Spain. In return, classes will end at the end of May.
Students will comply with the vacation periods stipulated in most communities . They will be able to enjoy, yes, a slightly longer Easter holidays, compared to those of the others. Basque Country
Do you need the Basque Country school calendar for this next academic year 2019-2020? Valencian Community
Another community that has not provided an official graphic calendar is Valencian. The Christmas holidays are celebrated as is customary in all communities . On the other hand, those of Holy Week begin on April 9 to end on the 20th. This is a good rest period, much longer than usual. Remember that to this calendar you have to add the holidays of each province and town, in addition to the days of free disposal chosen by the center.

You have already seen that some autonomous communities have not developed a graphic calendar so that students, parents can download it. Although there are others that have, you should know that school calendars must be modified with the holidays of each locality and with the days of free disposal chosen by each center.
