The Alcatel company has taken advantage of the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona to present its new mobile devices. On the one hand, the Idol 4 family , and on the other, a 2-in-1 tablet capable of acting as a laptop with 4G connectivity and being the first device of this type from Alcatel to work on the Windows 10 operating system . It is the Alcatel Plus 10 , with a 10-inch screen and an independent keyboard that acts as a 4G antenna and a WiFi point for other devices.
It is a convertible that takes advantage of the independence of the tablet itself from the keyboard to offer both computer and mobile device functionalities at the same time. That is, it allows you to write as if it were a laptop by placing the tablet on the keyboard, or placing it as a screen to make presentations or watch movies, and, of course, use it as a tablet to use .
It has a 10.1-inch screen with IPS technology to offer brightness in different situations and a wide viewing angle. It allows images to be displayed at a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, which translates into HD quality. All this in a fairly compact device of 259.3 x 156.2 x 8.35 mm . Its design is elegant and simple, being able to choose between black and white colors , and in this second case, a gray or black back.
Inside are a processor Intel Cherry Trail T3 Z8350 of four cores capable of moving at a speed of 1.92 Ghz . It is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM to give it fluidity when it comes to moving applications and programs. As for its storage capacity, the Alcatel Plus 10 has 32 GB of memory as standard, although it has a MicroSD card slot with up to 64 GB capacity.
Along with these features, the Alcatel Plus 10 has rear 5 - megapixel camera and a front 2 megapixel , two front speakers to provide sound surround effect 3D and all kinds of connectivity: HDMI port, USB 2.0 port, microUSB port, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n connectivity.
But what is surprising about this 2-in-1 tablet is its keyboard , in which the LTE antenna is integrated to be able to connect to Internet's high-speed 4G networks . Thus, in addition to offering the comfort of its physical keys, it provides improvements to the tablet when it is used in portable mode. And it is not only used for that, along with its support possibilities, it also allows you to connect up to 15 devices through a WiFi point .
Both the keyboard and the tablet have independent batteries that power their functionalities. In the tablet the battery is 5830 mAh , while that of the keyboard is 2580 mAh . Both batteries grant an autonomy of 8 hours of operation to the whole device.
The Alcatel Plus 10 tablet will hit the Spanish market next May for a price of 380 euros . You can choose from metallic silver, matt white, matt black and gray with a leather finish.
