Motorola fans had their glory day yesterday since, despite the fact that it seemed that the company was missing and having a bad time, they have shown that no, that they are still there, creating new terminals and willing to fill the lists of the mid-range.

Just yesterday the three new Motorola terminals,  the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus, were presented . In addition, for those who want to continue with the 5-inch format present in previous models, Lenovo has also presented the Moto G Play , a secondary terminal, with somewhat lower performance than the other models, but which is still a highly functional phone and very decisive. It seems that the Moto G4 Plus was in charge of ending the Moto X Play range and the same can be said of the  Moto G Play , which is a kind of improved version of the Moto Gthird generation. Thanks to its simple and practical design which attaches a 5 inch HD resolution, two chambers 8 and 5 megapixel LED flash built and tetra processor core Qualcomm Snapdragon 41o with 2GB of RAM is likely to become a successful phone in sales, since its price and benefits make it a candy for all those who are on a tight budget. Another of its strengths is the battery, which with a 2800 mAh and an integrated fast charging system, give the phone a more than efficient autonomy.

But let's better take a look at the new Lenovo G Play and analyze the features and benefits it incorporates in detail.

Design and display

In terms of design, we have a phone that follows the line that bears its name, Play . Its style, similar to the Motorola X, is made of a plastic body with simple finishes and beveled curved finishes . The casing is removable with what we foresee it can be customized with different colors, since at the moment this phone will only go on sale in black and white. If we go to the screen, we will find a 5-inch IPS LCD panel with HD resolution (1280 x 729 pixels, 294 ppi), exactly the same as we had in previous models. Although the screen is somewhat more basic than that of the other two models presented with it, it does include reinforcement Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to make it more resistant to shocks. It is not waterproof but has a system that prevents splashes. At the back we have the main camera along with the LED flash and a small indentation with the brand's emblem engraved inside. In short, a basic line for a fairly acceptable phone.

Power and memory

Within casings Moto G Play find a processor  Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 of four cores led by 64 bits and dragged by 2 GB of RAM . Unfortunately this is the weak point of the terminal, since it is a rather outdated processor whose performance will not be able to meet the needs of the most demanding users. As for storage memory, we will have available a  version of 8GB of storage and another version of 16GB , both of which have the possibility of being expanded through a microSD. Let's say that with these benefits, the terminal descends directly to the low range and it may incorporate carrier offers sooner rather than later.

Photographic equipment

The photographic equipment also boasts basic although it is undoubtedly the best that the phone incorporates. We have an 8 megapixel f / 2.2 lens as the main camera  and a 5 megapixel f / 2.2 lens on the front , both are supported with flash, the rear has an LED flash and the front the Display Flash , that is, the brightness emitted by the screen itself.

Autonomy and operating system

The battery is not bad at all, it does not reach the 3000 mAh that we can have in the other two new models, but we reach up to 2800 mAh . A more than approved autonomy, we also add that it has the Motorola Turbo fast charging system that allows you to charge the phone up to 80% in half an hour.

As an operating system, the Moto G Play will come equipped with  Android 6.0 Marshmallow without any modification or custom interface of the house , something that Lenovo calls “Moto Pure” . It is also rumored that it is more than likely to have its corresponding OTA to Android N when it is available.

Price and availability

We still do not know what the price that Lenovo will ask for the Moto G Play will be but it is planned on the idea that it will cost around a maximum of 200 euros and as we mentioned before, it will be a perfect phone for telephone operators to add to their gift phone catalog when hiring a plan. The departure date has not been specified either, but it is rumored that it will be between August and September.
