The Acer Predator Helios 700 is one of the most spectacular gaming laptops that we can find on the market. It has a so-called sliding keyboard that Acer has called HyperDrift. It also offers a technical suite that can compete with any desktop computer. And now even more, because the Helios 700 has been updated to include the new 10th generation Intel processors and Nvidia Geforce RTX graphics .
This is a laptop that has been designed to replace the desktop computer. In fact, we say that it is portable because of its form factor, because it is not a device designed to be carried from one place to another all day. Its weight of almost 5 kg and its dimensions confirm this.
The equipment has a 17.3-inch IPS screen with FHD resolution . It offers a 144Hz refresh rate , 300 nits of brightness, and Nvidia's G-Sync technology . It also includes Acer ComyView technology for better viewing.

Inside the new Acer Predator Helios 700 we find an overclockable 10th generation Intel Core i9-10980HK processor or an i7-10875H processor . It also features NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2080 SUPER or RTX 2070 SUPER graphics .
Accompanying the processor and graphics we have up to 16 GB of DDR4 RAM at 2,933 MHz . However, the team has an accessible Dual Channel system, so we can easily expand up to 64 GB using soDIMM modules.
Regarding storage, the Predator Helios 700 can equip up to 2 TB NVMe and up to 2 TB HDD . We can combine both storage systems to have speed and quantity.
For optimal performance, Acer has enhanced the device's thermal management capabilities with a new solution called the Predator PowerGem . PowerGem is a special material with 3.83 times more vertical thermal conductivity than copper, which improves the heat emission efficiency of the notebook. The Predator Helios 700 includes three copper heated tubes, Acer Coolboost technology , a vapor chamber, and two fourth-generation Acer AeroBlade 3D fans.
Among the other updates included in this year's model we have an additional Thunderbolt 3 port (for a total of two) and the latest Killer DoubleShot Pro (WiFi 6 AX1650i wireless and E3100G Ethernet) to ensure that critical applications take priority within the width band.
Acer has also updated the keyboard, which now includes MagTek mechanical switches for the WASD keys , as well as a set of new velocity keys that offer greater precision. The latter have been specially designed for racing games, as they have a 1.5mm curvature, allowing players to make more delicate and controlled movements in the game.
The keyboard's standard WASD keys can be swapped with the included MagForce keys and velocity keys, thus choosing the most suitable set for each game. Once exchanged, we can use the Predator Sense application or press the P3 hotkey to adjust the illumination point and the actuation of the keys. And it is that the keyboard of the Acer Predator Helios 700 has RGB lighting on each key and anti-ghosting .
