The rumors were correct and yesterday Samsung finally presented the Samsung Galaxy Alpha , a model whose main novelty is the use of metal for its structure. Many users have criticized the systematic use of plastic by Samsung . Plastic is a very resistant and versatile material that has great advantages, but for many customers it has a somewhat “cheap” look and feel. Other manufacturers such as Apple, Sony or HTC tend to opt for aluminum and also tempered glass , two materials that offer a more “ premium ” appearance.". Finally, Samsung has created a device that combines both materials in an elegant and functional way. Its frame is metallic , providing resistance and giving a more sophisticated touch, while the back casing is still made of plastic, lightening the whole and with a texture that improves grip. As with all its new releases, Samsung has released a series of very interesting new wallpapers , you can now get one of them on your smartphone or tablet thanks to the SamMobile blog team , who have taken care to extract them from the device's firmware.
Samsung usually introduces new wallpapers when they launch a new model and in this case the Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes with a collection of nine backgrounds with a very interesting design. All of them represent abstract shapes , with the exception of one of them that shows a surface in blue tones with water droplets on top. In order to have them on your smartphone or tablet you have to enter this link and click on the image that you like the most. When viewing it in full size press and hold until a dialog box appears to save the image , then you can easily select and set it as wallpaper. They are all square in 1,280 x 1,280 pixels., because the Galaxy Alpha has an HD screen. The downside is that if we have a computer with a higher resolution the image will not look as sharp.
As we said, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha is the first smartphone in the Galaxy range to bet on a metal frame, a change in Samsung's design strategy , which until now had opted for plastic in its most recent models. The use of metal ensures a more solid and resistant body, but it is also more aesthetic than the typical frame with a metallic finish that we find in most Galaxy smartphones.
The terminal has a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED HD screen, a configuration closer to the company's mid-range models. The Galaxy Alpha debuts the new Exynos 5430 processor, an eight-core processor that has given very good results in the first performance tests and that could also go into the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 . The Korean company repeats the fingerprint sensor and measuring heart rate that already debuted with the Galaxy S5 last April.
