There are those who give them up for dead, but netbooks continue to be sold, and they continue to convince many. Acer renews one of its most popular models, the Acer Aspire One , and does so as usual paying attention to design and details. Particularly striking is the screen resolution, 1366 x 768 pixels . This is quite a high figure for a netbook, considered the cheap brothers of laptops . Of course it is not one of the smallest. The monitor has a size of 11.6 inches diagonally . Considering the resolution, the Acer Aspire One 725 is one of the netbooks with the best monitors that we can find. In addition, its weight does not suffer too much: hardly1.2 Kg. Heavier than a tablet , but light enough to carry it all day without problem.
In terms of power, the Acer Aspire One 725 has an AMD C-60 processor. It is a dual-core chip that reaches speeds of 1.3 Ghz . The AMD processor is cheaper than its Intel equivalents , and is specially designed for these types of small computers. It also has up to 4 GB of RAM. Taking into account the tasks that are usually entrusted to a netbook, the Acer Aspire One 725 has enough power to run smoothly. Of course, we must not forget the function for which this type of computer is designed: surf the Internet , mail, etc.If we want to handle graphic editing programs or install cutting-edge games, we will have great difficulties.
The computer has a hard disk of up to 500 GB . To get an idea, in this storage volume we could store more than half a million minutes of music or some 100,000 photographs in JPEG format. However, it is a relatively small size when compared to the 1 or 1.5 TB hard drives that usually already include larger computers.
In addition, it has a card reader to improve the connectivity of the equipment. It is compatible with the MMC, MS, MS PRO and xD formats , as well as the most universal of all, SD. It also has a built-in WiFi antenna.
The Acer Aspire One 725 is available in two colors, black and blue. It is part of the more serious range of these netbooks , and is missing a little more variety in colors. It contrasts with the display of color that the brand makes in another of its best-known mini-notebook series, the Acer Aspire One Happy .
At the moment we do not know when this netbook will be available in our country. Also, Acer has not disclosed the price it will have. We assume that the Taiwanese brand will adjust costs to the maximum, now that these small teams are losing a lot of steam. Their main advantage lies in how light and small they are, but they are not nearly as attractive as the trendy gadget: tablets.
