Along with the new PIXMA printers, Canon has introduced two new flatbed scanners . On the one hand we have the Canon  CanoScan LiDE 400 , a high-end scanner with a USB type C connection. It has a resolution of 4,800 x 4,800 dpi and several advanced functions. On the other hand we have the Canon CanoScan LiDE 300 , a scanner designed for the home. It has a resolution of 2,400 x 4,800 dpi and automatic document recognition. We are going to know the characteristics of the new Canon scanners.

Canon CanoScan LiDE 400

As we said, the Canon CanoScan LiDE 400 is a high-end scanner , with improved high-resolution scanning speeds and capabilities. It is specially designed to save space, energy and time. It features a compact, vertical stand as well as a simple USB Type-C connection .

The CanoScan LiDE 400 is capable of scanning with a resolution of up to 4,800 x 4,800 dots per inch (dpi) . It also manages to reproduce with precision any photo or high resolution document.

As a professional scanner, speed is key. The Canon CanoScan LiDE 400 is capable of scanning in A4 size 300 dpi color in just eight seconds .

Plus, you can scan bulky documents like books, magazines, and reports. This is achieved thanks to the fact that the double hinged Z-lid can be raised up to 21 mm . By combining Auto Scan, Document Fix, Auto Photo Fix detection, and LiDE technology, the appropriate settings are automatically applied for each scan to simplify the process.

The Canon CanoScan LiDE 400 scanner will hit the market from September 2018 . Its price has not yet been confirmed.

The CanoScan LiDE 300 is a more compact scanner, with an elegant design, more intended for use at home. It allows you to scan A4 documents and features Canon's simplified EZ buttons.

It is capable of scanning at resolutions up to 2,400 x 4,800 dpi . In addition, it allows you to scan an A4 document at 300 dpi in just 10 seconds . Its design allows the CanoScan LiDE 300 to be moved anywhere in the home or office, as it does not need a separate power cord. It connects to the computer using a USB cable.

As we said, the four EZ buttons make it easy to scan to PDF or email . It has the ability to copy or start Automatic Scan, without having to navigate through complex menus. In addition, it is equipped with Auto Document Fix and Auto Photo Fix, which allow automatic and instant recognition of documents.

The Canon CanoScan LiDE 300 will hit the market from September 2018 . Its price has not yet been revealed.
