What has happened, despite the fact that Telefónica continues to amass the rights to broadcast football in our country, is that the owner of Telecinco and Cuatro has paid a significant sum of money to be able to broadcast, in exchange for 35 euros per month, all football matches over the internet , without the need for customers to contract an internet and telephone service that they do not need or that they simply did not plan to hire.
But, what are the options that Spanish citizens have to enjoy football from home? The truth is that for those who have a good time watching their soul team score goals, nothing like being able to sit so comfortably in front of the television at home, instead of going down to the bar every weekend and at any time. Today we tell you the price and where the League and Champions football will be seen in Spain .
When does football start?
The first is the first. When will football matches start in our country? If you do not want to miss one of the matches that will be broadcast in our country, you must be clear about the calendar of the different leagues in which Spanish matches will participate.
- The Champions League , for example, began its preliminary phase on June 25. The group stage will start on September 17 and 18. The final will take place on May 20, 2020.
- The Europa League started on June 27. The group stage will begin on September 19 and the final will be held on May 27, 2020.
- The Santander League , in which the first division matches are played, will begin on Sunday, August 18. It will end with the day of May 24, 2020.

Movistar
They are the ones who have all the rights to football in our country, so both users and providers have no choice but to agree with Movistar. But let's see what the operator offers us in terms of content and prices. Clients who want to enjoy these contents, logically, it will be essential to contract one of the packages offered by the company, which includes, in addition to television, internet and telephony. You have to be prepared for it, because the share of the compendium rises considerably.
But let's see what are the options that Movistar proposes:
Selection Merger with LaLiga 100 Mb for 85 euros per month
It is the cheapest option and includes all LaLiga Santander matches (including El Partidazo) and LaLiga 1 | 2 | 3 (Second Division) . In addition, channels # 0 and #Vamos are offered, which are exclusive to Movistar, in addition to 80 other television channels and series. Regarding the rest of the features and benefits, which you will also pay within the package, you should know that the following is also offered: 2 mobile lines, landline and internet (100 Mb symmetric fiber).
In the event that you also need to watch the Champions League, you have the option of hiring an extra, which is Movistar Champions League, and for 20 euros more, it offers us the matches of this important European competition. In this way, what users will end up paying in the end will be 105 euros per month for everything.
Total MERGER for 140 euros per month
There is another possibility, if you want to see more football, because you don't have enough with the Spanish first and second divisions . In this case, in addition to LaLiga Santander (including El Partidazo) and LaLiga 1 | 2 | 3 (Second Division), the Champions League, Europa League, Premier League and Bundesliga are also included in the package. Orange
If you are not satisfied with the options that we have indicated (Movistar and Mitele Plus), you can take a look at the offer offered by Orange , another operator that has wanted to join the project of offering football to its customers. What the operator has done in this case is to buy the rights to Movistar and offer just the same, but from its platform.
Thus, within the Orange TV Soccer package, different channels will be offered to view the contents. There will be the following: Movistar LaLiga (Santander League, Copa del Rey and El Partidazo every weekend). In reality, what has happened here is that the Movistar Partidazo channel disappears, which will go on to broadcast directly on Movistar LaLiga. Right here the two most interesting matches of the day will be broadcast, both first and second division.
Another channel called Movistar Champions League is also included , from which the Champions League, the Europa League, the Premier League, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 can be seen. Orange customers will also have access to Movistar LaLiga 123, from the that some LaLiga 1 | 2 | 3 matches, the Gol channel and #Vamos will be broadcast.
Regarding prices, we have to talk about two different options:
- Movistar LaLiga, LaLiga 1 | 2 | 3 and Partidazo , with all First and Second Division football and all the Copa del Rey: € 16 per month
- Movistar Champions League with the entire Champions League and the Europa League (along with other competitions): € 16 per month
Logically, these packages can only be chosen if the user has previously hired Orange as an operator. Thus, to the fiber and mobile offer contracted, the amount of the football package must be added. At this point, the operator has not yet announced the different offers and promotions that will accompany this new 2019/2020 football season, so the most prudent thing is to wait for them to be made public. In this way, you will be able to compare which of the three offers that will be in force from August onwards best suits your needs and, above all, your pocket. Which option is best for me to watch football?
The decision on which service to hire to watch football is up to you and nothing but you. It is important that you keep a couple of basic questions in mind. The first and most important, what budget do you have? As you can see, enjoying the most important matches in the soccer league is not exactly cheap. In return you gain comfort, because it will no longer be necessary for you to go to the nearest bar to watch the game.
The second question you should ask yourself is: what football content am I interested in? If you already have enough with the national league, you can limit yourself to hiring this package and, without a doubt, it will be cheaper. If you need to watch the Champions League , you will have to spend a little more, but you will have the option to enjoy all the matches of the European leagues also from home.
Of the three options that you have at your disposal, surely the Mitele Plus is the most succulent, because for only 35 euros you can see the entire football package , including the rest of the content that Mediaset proposes for this same channel. This option will come in handy if you have contracted a basic internet package at home. If not, and you already have Movistar or Orange as telephone and internet providers at home, you'd better think about it.
In most cases, Movistar has proposed to offer football directly in the telephone, internet and television packages, so that it may not be necessary to hire any extras . Study well the option they propose, especially if your intention is to change your operator to switch to Movistar or if, being already within the company, you want to expand the package you have. If you already have Orange contracted, also study the expansion of the football package, according to the national or European league suits you, because in this case there are distinctions and you can make the hiring separately.
