The season has already started and it promises to be very exciting. This year we will have even fewer open games, so to follow the competitions there is no other option than to subscribe to a payment platform. Like every year, the main companies already have their offers ready to watch all the football on TV . But, will it cost us the same in all companies? Not necessarily.
Operator web pages are often not very intuitive. That is why we are going to collect the price of football in Movistar, Orange and Vodafone . So if you want to keep up with your favorite team this year, don't stop reading.
Prices to watch football in Movistar
Movistar has three “soccer options”, depending on the content that interests us. On the one hand, we have the option of contracting only 8 League matches per day and Copa del Rey . A perfect option if our team does not play international competitions.
On the other hand, we also have available a package with 8 League matches per day, Copa del Rey, Champions and Europa League . And finally, we also have the “Total Football” package . The latter includes the entire League, the Second Division League, the King's Cup, the Champions League, the Europa League and some international leagues.
The usual thing when we contract football with an operator is to have a pack with everything. Or at least the fixed services. So much so that Movistar says on its website that to hire football it is necessary to have a Fusion pack .
Specifically, they offer us three options:
But, what happens if we don't want to contract Fusion? Movistar gives us the option of hiring satellite television . In small print, just under the prices you see above, we have an option that says "I want to hire football without Fusion." If we do, we will enter the satellite TV setup screen.
Of course, it will not be cheap. With this option we have to contract, at least, the Family package. This has a cost of 30 euros per month. To this package we must add the football package, which has a cost of 25 euros per month. That is, the total cost will be 55 euros per month, plus 100 euros for installation .
This option must be contracted by phone, so we cannot guarantee its availability . It would not be surprising if they do not offer it for areas with fiber.
Prices to watch football on Vodafone
Vodafone is another of the operators with the strongest commitment to football. The British operator includes LaLiga Santander, LaLiga 1 | 2 | 3, the Copa del Rey, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and international competitions .
We will also have all the Real Madrid and Barí§a games in 4K. And until December 31 when hiring football we will have Formula 1 and Moto GP as a gift .
As for the price, we can summarize that football in Vodafone has a cost of 20 euros per month until the end of the season . At this price we have to add, logically, the rest of the services. As an example, the Vodafone page suggests a 120 MB connection, a 6 GB mobile, unlimited calls and Vodafone TV Total with the football package.
Prices to watch football in Orange
Orange's football offer is quite attractive. The French operator includes all the 1st and 2nd division matches, including the great game of the day . It also offers all the games of Barcelona and Real Madrid in 4K.
As for the price, Orange has an offer with which we can see LaLiga and the Copa del Rey for only 1 euro per month . Of course, this offer is conditional on hiring Orange TV Cinema and Series.
On the other hand, we can add the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and the best international leagues for 10 euros more per month . In other words, if we want to have all the football, we will have to pay 11 euros per month plus the cost of the rest of the services.
In the image above you can see some of the packs offered by Orange. For example, one of the most attractive packs could be the “Essential Love Family” . With this pack we will have 300 Mb fiber at a price of 50 Mb and a fixed telephone line.
As for the mobile, this rate includes 2 mobile lines with 8 GB of data and 200 minutes. At the price of 53.56 euros per month of this rate, we would have to add 13.95 euros per month for the Orange TV Cinema and Series pack. And, as we said, we will also have to add 1 euro a month for Orange TV Fútbol. But if we want to finish off and have it all, we will also add 10 euros a month for international competitions. That is, the total price of the combined would be 78.51 euros per month . At least that's how it would be for the first 6 months.
Comparison of rates with football Movistar, Vodafone and Orange
Now that we know what rates each company applies, we can make a more general comparison. As it is very difficult to compare only the price of football, we have chosen three converging offers that are as similar as possible . That is, we are going to compare the price of the entire offer, not just the football. Here it is:
CALLS AND DATA
|Movistar FUSION + Total Football||120 euros per month||Symmetric fiber 300 Mb + Unlimited landline calls||2 mobile lines with 20 GB to share and unlimited calls||La Liga Santander + Copa del Rey + La Liga 1 | 2 | 3 + Champions League + Europa League + International leagues|
|Vodafone One 300 MB | L||121 euros per month||Symmetric fiber 300 Mb + Unlimited landline calls||Mobile with 20 GB and Free Second Line||La Liga Santander + Copa del Rey + La Liga 1 | 2 | 3 + Champions League + Europa League + Formula 1 and Moto GP as a gift|
|Orange Love Family Without Limits||105 euros per month||Symmetric fiber 300 Mb + Unlimited landline calls||2 mobile lines with 16 GB to share and unlimited calls||La Liga Santander + Copa del Rey + La Liga 1 | 2 | 3 + Champions League + Europa League + International leagues|
So, looking at the table, we could conclude that Vodafone is the most expensive. In addition, in the Vodafone offer there is a detail missing . A 20GB mobile line is included, but the amount of data on the second line is not indicated. We suppose that it could be balanced by requesting two lines with 10 GB each, but the price is sure to be higher.
Finally, comment that they are prices after promotion , since if you look at them on the different web pages they will be cheaper. In short, as you can see, watching football this season will not be cheap at all.
