Cuántas veces habremos escuchado eso de “y lo del Snapchat ése, ¿qué es?” o a cuánta gente conocemos que se aventura en la aplicación del fantasma, crea un perfil y cuando lo abre aquello es como Narnia, un mundo desconocido e inexplorado, y deciden desistir en su uso.
Lo más probable es que tú que estás leyendo este artículo ya hayas pasado por las tres fases: descargar, instalar, desinstalar. Pero no te preocupes, con esta pequeña guía de uso podrás, no sólo utilizar Snapchat, sino también ayudar a tus conocidos a que ellos también la utilicen y dejen de decir la frase de “es que Snapchat es para la gente joven”.
¿Pero qué es exactamente Snapchat?
Snapchat es una red social como tantas que tenemos a nuestro alcance a día de hoy, pero con una particularidad muy distintiva: nuestras imágenes y vídeos desaparecen en 24 horas, lo que hace que sea más adictiva ya que, si no entras hoy en la aplicación, mañana ya no podrás saber lo que tus contactos han publicado. Otro tema son las conversaciones privadas que mantengamos con otros usuarios, también se esfuman, pero al instante de haberlas leído, aunque hay una opción para guardar estos mensajes que veremos más adelante.
1.Primeros pasos
Una vez instalada la app en nuestro dispositivo (es gratuita tanto en Android como en iOS) tenemos que crear un usuario. Snapchat se vincula a nuestro número de teléfono y a su vez a nuestra libreta de direcciones para que podamos añadir a nuestros amigos que ya sean “Snapchatters” (así es como se denomina a los usuarios de esta red social) pero no es necesario que aportemos el teléfono si no queremos ya que también podemos registrarnos mediante nuestro correo electrónico.
Una vez que hemos verificado la cuenta y hemos aceptado las condiciones, crearemos nuestro usuario que nos servirá para que otros snapchatters nos puedan agregar. Podemos agregar contactos también por su nombre de usuario.
La aplicación nos dará la opción de agregar contactos de nuestra libreta. Os aconsejamos que lo hagáis ya que sin usuarios con lo que interactuar no tiene sentido utilizar esta app.
Ahora es el momento de personalizar los ajustes de Snapchat a nuestro gusto. Desde el panel de preferencias podemos decidir quién puede enviarnos snaps (mensajes privados) y quién puede ver lo que publicamos. Como en el resto de las redes sociales la privacidad es una opción personal pero si somos recelosos de nuestra intimidad no debemos olvidarnos de ajustar estos parámetros antes de empezar con Snapchat.
2.Puesta en marcha: creando Snaps
Snapchat works directly with your device's camera which makes it very easy to use. We can activate or deactivate the flash in the upper left part of the screen and in the right part, change from normal mode to selfie mode .
To shoot we just have to press the circle that we have on the screen. If what we want is to record a video, we simply have to press the circle without releasing it and we will see how it loads while it turns red.
3.Editing the Snaps
This is one of the funniest parts of Snapchat. Once we have our photo or video we can add filters, text, emojis and even paint on it with our own finger as if it were a brush.
To change the filters we simply have to slide our finger on the screen to the right.
The editing tools will appear on the right side of our snap and just by clicking on them we can start editing and creating images with messages
4.Sending snaps
Well we have our snap ready to be sent , now we simply have to press the arrow that appears at the bottom right and select who we want to send it to.
We have the option of sending it to our "story" which would be something like our Facebook biography or we can send it to our contacts on Snapchat, selecting it on the screen that appears below.
Remember that we can make all the snaps we want but we have to send them one by one each time we do them.
4. View stories from other Snapchatters
To see what my contacts are posting we have to go to the "stories" section . And how are we doing? Easy, with the application open as if we were to make a snap, we slide the screen to the right with our finger and the list with all the stories of our contacts will appear, we click on the name of the contact whose snaps we want to see and that's it, we can see everything that user has posted.
5. Using Snapchat lenses
Snapchat lenses are what has given it the latest push to become one of the fashionable social networks with almost the same number of daily views as Facebook . The lenses are filters with real-time effects for videos that make your Snapchat experience as fun as possible.
