The first thing is to download the application and install it, after that we can run it. The first thing we will see will be an interface to select the hard drive that we want to scan. We can also select a location for the data to be recovered to facilitate the software's task.
After selecting it, it only remains to let the application do its work. When it is finished it will show us a very complete interface with a multitude of information. This program is one of the best in its sector, being able to classify the files found according to their location on the hard drive in a very clear way . This makes it much easier to find what we are looking for, without a doubt it is a great advantage.
We select the files that we are interested in recovering, after which the application will ask us the location where we want them to be saved .
Recuva
Recuva is surely the most popular data recovery software . It is a small free tool created by Piriforn, the creators of the also very popular CCleaner.
Recuva presents a very simple interface to use, in addition, it has a wizard that will guide us step by step through the entire process of recovering data from our hard drive . This wizard will be the first thing we see when we have installed the application and open it.
The wizard will ask us the type of file to recover, the location where they were, and finally it will allow us to enable deep scanning . This last option is much more effective in finding recoverable data, but it can take several hours depending on the size of the hard drive.
At the end of the process, a window will appear with information about the files that it has found and that can be recovered . On the left, it will indicate the status of the file, if it appears in red it will be difficult for us to recover it, but not impossible. To recover a file we only have to select it and click on "Recover".
