Samsung UHD 6000 series with Smart TV from 2016

The Samsung UHD 6000 Series is an ideal TV for those looking for a good image quality with UHD resolution ,  but with a fairly affordable price. Especially if we compare it with the latest generation SUHD televisions . The new 6000 series of Samsung are prepared for the future with a panel resolution UHD , support HDR , UHD Dimming to improve the brightness, color and contrast and PurColor for a full spectrum of color. All this accompanied by a Quad-Core processor that will perfectly move the new Tizen OS. Let's review its features in depth.

Design

Samsung has maintained a very similar design to last year's televisions in the new 6000 Series . So we have a flat panel surrounded by an elegant black frame that, while it is true that it is not too thick, it is more visible than that of the higher-end televisions. To hold the TV, the Samsung 6000 Series uses a metallic black V-shaped base. The thickness of the panel without base is 6.26 centimeters .

The 6000 series of Samsung does not incorporate external connection box One Connect , so between the rear and the sides have different connection ports offered by the TV. We found 3 HDMI inputs , 2 USB ports , 1 component input, Ethernet port , digital optical audio output and the antenna input. In addition, the 6000 Series is equipped with integrated WiFi .

As for the size of the screen, the manufacturer has listed sizes on its website of 40, 43 and 65 inches , but it is likely that it will also arrive in 50, 55, 60 and 70 inches.

Although this is the lowest range of Samsung 4K resolution televisions , the 6000 Series offers certain features that ensure good image quality. The new Samsung 6000 Series feature a flat panel with a UHD resolution of 3,840 - 2,160 pixels. 4K resolution is 4 times the Full HD resolution , thus offering much sharper and more realistic images. To achieve a color closer to reality, the Korean company has implemented its PurColor technology in the 6000 Series . With PurColorThe company claims that it manages to multiply by seven the color adjustment points of a conventional panel with 4K resolution , thus achieving much richer colors and greater nuances in the image.

The 6000 Series also offers UHD Dimming processing  to achieve the best possible brightness, contrast and color. In addition, the new 6000 Series are future-proof as they offer HDR Premium technology , thus being compatible with future high dynamic range broadcasts.

And since not all the content we see will have a 4K resolution , the Samsung 6000 Series incorporates a  UHD image processor that ensures that all content, even low-quality streaming videos, are viewed in decent quality. To do this, it uses a four-step image processing that scales any content, displaying it with greater clarity, significantly improving its display. And as if this were not enough, to help with this task we also have Ultra Clean View technology  , which is responsible for analyzing the content that is being broadcast on the television with an advanced algorithm in charge of filtering and reducing the noise of the images. All this in order to achieve a resolution close to theUHD , regardless of the native resolution in which the content we are viewing is recorded.

Sound

The trend of making panels increasingly thin requires that the speakers that are mounted inside the television are smaller and smaller, making it almost impossible to get good sound. However, manufacturers continue to put all their efforts to achieve acceptable sound in their latest televisions. The Samsung 6000 Series offers a two-channel sound system and a total power of 20W . It doesn't offer a woofer like its older brothers do. The TV supports Dolby Digital Plus and DTS .

Smart tv

The 6000 Series Samsung also incorporates the new version of Tizen OS . The company has improved the system, including a new Smart Hub or home screen that allows faster and more convenient access to television programs or the different applications available. Samsung's Smart TV platform has always been considered one of the best, since the company has exclusive agreements that allow Tizen OS to be provided with applications that the competition does not have. For example, Samsung offers a streaming game application that has been developed in conjunction with PlayStation . This application allows usPlay PS3 games directly on the TV without the need for the console.

Of course, the usual applications such as Netflix or YouTube will not be missing , as well as common functions on Samsung televisions .  For example, we have  Samsung Smart View , with which we can transfer photos, videos and music from the mobile or PC directly to the TV. We will also have the possibility of connecting a USB or an external hard drive directly to the TV and play the content through  ConnectShare .

And for all of this to work smoothly, the Samsung 6000 Series mounts a Quad-Core processor , which offers enough power to run applications quickly. In addition, to facilitate handling of the system, the 6000 Series provides the command Samsung Smart Control , with which we can handle Tizen OS simply pointing at the TV and selecting options with the mouse pointer to the style of the console Wii of Nintendo .
