It is time to retune DTT after the last resignation of frequencies by 5G. Unlike the analog blackout that brought digital television to Spain more than a decade ago, most Spanish homes will not require any additional device to watch TV channels. In fact, the only measure that we will have to apply will be to re-tune the channels manually , something that is not exactly easy if we have a Samsung television. In this case, we will have to follow a series of steps to find the channels that have already begun to be broadcast under the new frequencies and order them later.
Before proceeding with the instructions, it is necessary to clarify that the menus and options may vary depending on the Samsung TV model.
So you can tune channels on a Samsung Smart TV
The process to search for channels on a Samsung Smart TV is really simple. The first thing we will have to do is turn on the television and click on the Menu button that we can find on the remote ; more specifically under the volume button. If we have a next-generation television, we will have to click on the Smart Hub button. For proof, an image:
Once the Samsung menu appears on the screen, we will go to the Emission section , which we can identify with the logo of an antenna. In the most recent models we can access the Channel option. Then we will click on the option of Automatic programming or Automatic adjustments (depending on the installed software version) to start searching for new channels.
After clicking on the option in question, we will accept the operation by clicking on the central button of the directional crosshead. Before the wizard begins to search for new channels, we will have to select the broadcast source. Since we will use the antenna we will have to select the homonymous option . In case of having a DTT tuner connected to the television, we will have to opt for the latter.
Now we just have to select the type of channel to tune in and the search source. In the first case we will have to select Digital and analog , although we can also choose Digital. When choosing a search source, the ideal is to use the Both option.
Finally, we will click on the Explore option so that the wizard starts the search for new channels.
How to Manually Sort Channels on a Samsung TV
Once we have tuned in all the television channels on our Samsung television, it is time to order them to our liking. Again we will have to access the Emission section or the Channel section . We can do it through the Menu button in the first case or through the Smart Hub button in the second case.
To proceed with the ordering of the channels, we will have to click on the Channel List section in both cases. Next, a list with all the channels that we have previously tuned will be displayed. To order them to our liking we will have to scroll to the channel in question and click on the Tools button that we can find just below the Menu button. We can see it in the following image:
Now we just have to select the option Edit channel number and enter the number that we want to be assigned to the channel in question. To order the rest of the channels, we will have to repeat this same process as many times as necessary. Finally we will click on the Save option to store the configuration.
