If you have bought a new iPhone, or any other Apple device, you have probably thought about taking out insurance. Good to use the quieter terminal, since in case of breakage it would cover it, or even to be able to claim in case of theft or loss.
Apple has Care +, an insurance that covers damages and other aspects in the iPhone, iPad, Mac and other headphones. It is one more extension to Apple Care, but… What does it really cover? What is not covered by Apple Care? We will tell you.
Apple Care + is insurance that is purchased separately, has a duration of two years (from the moment it is contracted) and is valid for all Apple products. For example, the AirPods Pro, the Mac, iPad and especially the iPhone. For the company's mobile it is possibly the best option, since it is what we carry the most on a day-to-day basis, and because what this insurance covers is of interest above all in the iPhone.
The main point is that Apple Care offers two years of technical support. That is, we can contact the service through telephone or chat support whenever we want and as a priority and for any query related to Hardware and software. But let's get to the important thing, does it cover damage due to drops or screen breaks?
The answer is yes. Apple Care + takes care of at least two accidental years. That is, if we drop the mobile and the screen breaks, it can be repaired . The same goes for the back cover.
Of course, although it does not have the cost of the repair outside of insurance, we will have to pay assistance costs. In the case of screen repair they are 30 euros, and other breakages, such as the back, are 100 euros. It is much less than what it costs to repair an iPhone screen outside of insurance and warranty. Apple's insurance also covers battery damage. If your mobile has 80 percent or less battery during the two years that the insurance lasts, it will be replaced free of charge. The same happens if there is damage to the accessories that come in the box. Now, what about theft or loss? In this case, Apple Care does not offer any type of coverage. Therefore, if our mobile or tablet is lost or stolen, we must buy a new one (not without first reporting and blocking the terminal).
Also, in some cities (where there is an Apple Store), you can get same-day repair for some damage.
How much does Apple Care Plus cost?
The service has different prices depending on the iPhone model and the device . It is not the same to cover an Apple Watch than an iPhone 11 Pro Max. These are the prices for the different devices.

What is not covered by Apple Care Plus?
Like any other insurance, Apple Care Plus has its own fine print. We have already seen that thefts and losses are not covered . Damages that do not affect the operation of the device are also not covered. That is, superficial scratches, small bumps on the edges, etc. Devices that have been modified by the user or an unofficial Apple service are not covered either. Liquid damage is not covered either.
The service does not cover factory damage to the device either , since as consumers we can claim from Apple that our device has arrived defective without having to take out insurance.
How to purchase Apple Care +
This insurance can be purchased directly at the Apple Store or when purchasing the terminal. It is also possible to purchase it from the device itself, in Settings> General> Information> Limited warranty . Of course, there is a time of 2 months from the purchase of the terminal to contract it, but the service begins the same day that you acquire it, and not when you buy the terminal. It is also possible to contract it from the Apple Support app, which is available in the App Store. Or, through the Apple website, putting the IMEI number of your terminal.
Bottom Line: Is Apple Care + Worth It?
Apple Care + is expensive insurance, but considering what it covers it can pay off. If you are one of those users who takes the protection of your device to the maximum , without caring about losing the experience of touching the glass of the terminal or viewing your screen as it is, without any protector, it is not worth hiring Apple Care +, because it that it offers you already have it covered with the protection you add to your device.
However, if you are one of those who prefers to enjoy the device without any type of cover or screen protector, it may be convenient for you to hire it , since in case of breakage due to fall the insurance will cover it.
