ZTE has introduced a new member of the Blade family in China . We are talking about the Blade A2, a phone with affordable features that will land on the market below 100 euros. We are increasingly demanding with what Asian manufacturers have to offer us. The truth is that they do not usually disappoint, we can say that their phones satisfy both those who want higher-end devices and those who want low-end devices. The good thing in both cases is that the prices are really competitive. In the case of the ZTE Blade A2, the device has been presented with a 5-inch screen with HD resolution, octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, and a pretty decent camera set - 13 megapixels for the rear and 5 megapixels for the front. Its battery is 2,500 mAh, a figure that, taking into account its characteristics, will grant it autonomy for a whole day. The device will go on sale in China from June 15.

Design and display

With an aluminum rear finish, the ZTE Blade A2 is one of those phones that seems to be worth more than it actually costs. Its lines are fine and elegant and it gives the feeling that we are facing an ergonomic device. Its exact measurements are 143.80 x 70.20 x 7.90 millimeters and its weight 135 grams, so this is a relatively thin and stylish terminal. Another detail to take into account is that it follows the aesthetics of some high-end models with priceless frames, so the screen will be the real protagonist.On the back we find a fingerprint reader, to make payments or increase security, located just below the camera. It will be available in three colors to choose from: Gray, Gold and Silver.

The ZTE Blade A2 mounts a 5-inch screen with HD resolution (1,280 x 720), which is not bad when it comes to offering certain quality. And it is that, until not long ago it was the resolution that was included in mid-high range models. As we say, the panel will be what attracts the most attention at first glance, since it follows the 2.5D finish, with full integration with the case.

Processor and memory

Inside the ZTE Blade A2 we find an eight-core MediaTek MTK6750 processor next to the Mali T86 GPU. It is a set that we can see in other low-mid-range Asian mobiles and that will allow us to achieve a tight performance. In this case, the RAM is 2 GB, enough to move some of the most important applications on Google Play, such as Instagram , Facebook or WhatsApp . For its part, the internal storage capacity is 16 GB, expandable through the use of microSD- type memory cards .

Cameras

In the photographic section, the ZTE Blade A2 behaves adequately, although without major pretensions. Let's not forget that we are facing a mobile that will cost just under 100 euros to change. In this way, the company has decided to incorporate a 13 megapixel main sensor with flash, to capture photos in low light conditions and a secondary 5 megapixel sensor, currently sufficient for moderately acceptable selfies and video calls.

Connectivity, autonomy and operating system

When it comes to connectivity, the ZTE Blade A2 supports high-speed 4G networks. It also incorporates WiFi 802.11b / g / n and WiFi Direct, and there is no lack of GPS or NFC connectivity . For its part, the device has a 2,500 mAh battery. It is not that it is a very good autonomy, especially if we consider that there are already affordable mobile phones that have a battery from 3,000 mAh. In any case, it will give us to enjoy it for a whole day. If we talk about the operating system, the ZTE Blade A2 works with Android 5.1 Lollipop, a version that has already been overshadowed byAndroid 6.0 Marshmallow, but it still works fine. Remember that it offers acceptable performance and that Material Design was introduced , a new concept that brings minimalism and general order to the system. It should also be noted that the Blade A2 has customization in its operating system. Specifically with the so-called MiFavor 3.2.

Conclusions

We cannot say that the ZTE Blade A2 is one of the best phones of the Asian company, but it is evident that it has not been manufactured with too many pretensions. ZTE has set a price below 100 euros with the aim of reaching as many users as possible, especially those who flee from phablet-type devices and high-end features. We are, therefore, before an affordable phone with an elegant design, which follows the trend of reduced frames, leaving the full prominence to the screen. Inside we are going to find restrained features, although its eight-core processor and 2 GB RAMthey will allow us to work without many problems, always bearing in mind that we are not facing a high-end range. The final touch is the Android operating system (version 5.1) and a 2,500 mAh battery, which, as we have already explained, will allow us to enjoy the phone for a whole day. The phone will go on sale in China on June 15.
