The popularization of netbooks has brought something positive to the laptop market. And it is that traditional computers have cut their price a lot, so much that it is possible to get a decent computer for just 500 euros . This is the case of this Easynote MH36-U-007SP marketed by Packard Bell . It is a laptop with a 15.4-inch screen and excellent but solid technical characteristics that make it especially suitable for off-road use . Without many concessions to the design, Packard Bell has managed to assemble a team that offers everything that an average user could need for just 479 euros .

Externally, the Packard Bell Easynote MH36-U-007SP is like any other equipment in its category. Available only in black , the only concession to the design is the usual silver line of the Packard Bells and the characteristic round pad that, it is said, is very comfortable to work with. The team has rounded edges that are reminiscent, saving the distances, of Apple Macbooks. The finishing of materials is satisfactory. The entire computer is covered in matte plastic that prevents fingerprints or scratches from showing too much . Physically, the Easynote MH36 has dimensions of 36 x 26 x 4.3 centimeters and a weight of 2.6 Kg, a fairly affordable middle ground to wear on your shoulder without dislocating anything.

The arrangement of the buttons and connections is quite thoughtful. On the right, you can only see the Ethernet port and the DVD drive. The left side is reserved for two of the three available USB, the audio inputs and the memory card port. The rest of the connections are at the back of the equipment , which prevents us from accumulating too many cables on both sides when we work. The screen is, as we said, 15.4-inch TFT WXGA GLARE with a native resolution of 1,280 × 800 and up to 16.7 million colors .

Low-priced power

Internally, the Easynote MH36 is powered by an Intel Pentium Dual Core T3400 processor at 2.16 Ghz. The equipment has 4 Gb of ram memory and a 320 gigabyte hard drive. The graphics card, an integrated Intel GMA X4100 , is not a wonder but it does its job without disturbing as long as we don't install the latest shooter on the market. Generally speaking, the computer has more than enough power to work without problems and is considerably faster than many netbooks that are sold at the same price. The Packard Bell Easynote MH36U007SP comes with the Windows Vista Basic operating system. No option to upgrade to Windows XP, but any crafty user can return to the beloved Windows XP with the consequent improvement in the performance of the machine after removing ballast.

Connections and extras

The laptop has the usual Ethernet and Wifi connections. It does not have Bluetooth . In the extras section, the equipment integrates VGA webcam and stereo speakers that fulfill their function without further pretense. The incorporation of a remote control TV tuner is also appreciated . The six-cell battery lasts about one hour and forty-five minutes . A significantly shorter duration that could have been improved with a more powerful battery or reducing the electrical consumption of the components. The equipment is for sale at a price of 480 euros .

The best

A good value and quite more power than other computers in the same price line.

It can improve

The battery lasts quite little and the graphics power is too dependent on the processor, as it does not have a particularly powerful card.
