How to close a Hotmail or Outlook.com email account
If you have a Hotmail or Outlook.com email account, you can also easily close it. You must bear in mind, of course, that whether you have an email from Hotmail or if it is from Outlook (.com or .es) you will have to do it from the same space.
In fact, the inboxes of these three domains are unified into one. If you want to close a Hotmail or Outlook.com/.es email account, you just have to do the following:
1. Access this link to close your account.
2. Most likely, Microsoft will immediately ask you to verify your identity and ownership of the account . You will have to indicate the last four digits of the telephone number you have indicated. If the numbers are correct, you will receive an SMS with a code.
3. This is the code that you have to insert below. When you have done so, the system will have verified that the account belongs to you.
4. You will see a series of instructions. It is important that you spend all the credit (if any) from Skype, cancel subscriptions and other pending procedures. 7. Microsoft will also ask you why you want to close this account. Indicate a reason and finally, click on the Mark account for closure option . If you have thought better of it, simply click Cancel.
8. And that's it. At the end you will see a message indicating the closing date of the account. Remember that Microsoft will give you 60 days, a period during which you will still have time to recover the account .
