Nokia 2.2, features, price and opinions

As planned, HDM Global has officially announced the Nokia 2.2, an input terminal that comes to succeed the Nokia 2.1 that we already met last year. The new model sports a design that is far from that of its predecessor, with a front with hardly any frames and a notch in the shape of a drop of water. Its rear part, built in glass, is quite simple and only houses the main camera and the company's seal plus the Android One brand.

In fact, the latter is one of its great characteristics. The device includes this version of the system without extra add-ons or layers of customization. In addition, another of the great advantages it offers compared to the rest of its rivals is its compatibility with Android Q. By having the Android One program, it ensures at least two years of updates. The Nokia 2.2 also has a 5.7-inch screen, Helio A22 SoC processor, 2 or 3 GB of RAM memory or a 3,000 mAh battery. Keep reading to know all its features in detail.

The Nokia 2.2 is a far cry from the Nokia 2.1, at least at the design level. The terminal now boasts a more protagonist screen, with hardly any frames and a notch in the shape of a drop of water. The rear of the terminal is built in glass, which gives it a fairly elegant and clean appearance, with a single rear camera with LED flash (located in the center of the top) and the Android One seal on the bottom.

Its panel is exactly 5.71 inches in size with a brightness of up to 400 nits and a resolution of 1,520 x 720p. Inside the team there is presence for a Helio A22 processor, accompanied by 2 or 3 GB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 16 and 32 GB (expandable through the use of microSD cards). Therefore, we can choose between two different versions of the terminal. Regarding the photographic section, we can say that it is quite simple.

It consists of a single 13 megapixel main sensor and a 5 megapixel front sensor for selfies, which also serves to increase the security of the device thanks to the included facial recognition system. Although it does not include a fingerprint reader, it is always an advantage that it does not lack at least some component to keep privacy at bay.

But if there is something that should be noted about this model is its compatibility with Android Q. Being under the Google Android One program, the Nokia 2.2 will be compatible with Android Q at the time of its departure, which is expected to be ready to go. mid this summer. Currently the terminal has the latest version of Android 9 Pie. Regarding the rest of the features, we can mention a 3,000 mAh battery without fast charging or Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi b / g / n and FM radio.

Price and availability

At the moment, the Nokia 2.2 has been put on sale only in India at an exchange price of 90 euros. We imagine that for the model with 2 GB and 16 GB of internal storage. We have no information on when it will arrive in Spain, although it is said that its official price could be around 100 euros. We will be very careful to give you all the details when the time comes.
