samsung-champ-c3300-2

Samsung Champ C3300K joins the list of low-end phones that, like Samsung S5230 or Samsung Corby , offer touch technology at an affordable price . In return, the rest of the benefits are very basic . Samsung looks like a niche among users who want to start in managing a terminal without resorting to physical buttons or keyboards , but also require greater sophistication .

Like the original Corby , it pays special attention to social media and, although its design is less youthful , it does not give up being available in bright and varied colors . But also like Corby , it suffers from limited connections , since Samsung Champ is impossible to access broadband Internet .

Display and connections

The Samsung Champ C330 screen measures 2.4 inches, which could be scarce for a touch mobile . Samsung Corby , for example, sports a 2.8-inch panel . It is resistive type . Its main disadvantages compared to capacitive ones is that the brightness and sensitivity are lower. On the other hand, it better withstands water or damage caused by dust . The resolution is 320 x 240 píxele s. The contents are displayed vertically or horizontally, depending on the position of the phone, thanks to its accelerometer sensor . The user interface is TouchWiz Lite , a lightweight version of the original TouchWiz . It allows you to include widgets based on user preferences and organize different desktops. Icons for direct access to Facebook and Twitter have been included , as well as Samsung Apps , Samsung's application store .

The wireless connections , however, are not the best for mobile that seeks the services of social networks . Samsung Champ is not supported on 3G networks and lacks WiFi . Its operability is limited to the GPRS and EDGE Class 10 frequencies and GSM at 850, 900, 1,800 and 1,900 MHz . Although it offers support for WAP 2.0, xHTML, and HTML , browsing the Internet will be slow to the point of not being worth it. On the other hand, it has Bluetooth 2.1 with an A2DP audio profile . This way you can connect to other devices that have Bluetooth, like hands-free kits . The physical connectors consist of a port microUSB 2.0 and headphone output of 3.5 mm .

Camera and multimedia

The camera is not great either. With a sensor of 1.3 megapixels , it is nothing short testimonial . It also shoots video with a resolution of 15 frames per second . Improve the multimedia playback section somewhat. The Samsung Champ C33o0K reads the audio formats MP3, WMA and eAAC + and MP4 and H.263 video . Provides support for JAVA , so you can run games designedwith said language . It has a storage capacity of only 30 Mb, but can be remedied with a microSD memory card. Supports a maximum of 8 Gb .

Battery

The lithium ion battery is 1,000 milliamps. Its performance reaches 666 hours in standby mode and 12 hours in conversation. Regarding the measurements of the device, they are 96.3 x 53.8 x 13 millimeters and it weighs 80 grams. It is scheduled to begin shipping from next June and will be available in brown, black, white and pink. It is estimated that its price will be reduced and that it will not exceed in any case the 150 dollars, about 122 euros at the current exchange rate.

The best

The Samsung Champ is a simple and uncomplicated terminal. It is indicated for users who want to enjoy touch technology without spending large amounts of money, nor do they need the benefits of a smartphone.

It can improve

The screen size is likely to make it awkward when navigating the menu. In addition, the absence of better connections is accused. Especially if what is intended is frequent use of social networks. The camera is not great either and, in general, the impression that it gives is that Samsung could have done a little bit of care.
