Just when it seemed that everything was in the hands of the police, several photos of nude celebrities have been leaked again due to an attack on iCloud, Apple's cloud service . These new images have been uploaded to 4Chan and Reddit this weekend, but have already been removed from the web. The star of the Hunger Games, Jennifer Lawrence, has reappeared in this second batch of images as the headliner.

Other names included in this snapshot pack were  Kim Kardashian and Disney girl Vanessa Hudgens . Television star Kaley Cuoco , known from The Big Bang Theory series , was also targeted. Avril Lavigne has been involved in this matter, although the truth is that her photos could not be confirmed . The model  Joy Corrigan is another of the victims and has announced that she is going to report Apple after her account has been hacked twice . The Cupertino company has already declared that it was not her fault, but that she had been the victim of a phishing attack or theft of credentials.

The FBI is already investigating the first series of leaked photos but it seems that it will have to put the batteries if it wants the images to stop leaking. The snapshots appeared earlier this month and experts say it was the result of a "brute force" attack , with which the famous iCloud passwords were obtained.

Apple has made some changes to its security and now alerts users when their iCloud account is accessed from a new device, or when they try to change the password for that account. Likewise, it seems that these measures have not been enough and more changes are expected from the technological titan .

More photos of Jennifer Lawrence have allegedly been leaked , despite the fact that earlier this month representatives of the movie star threatened to sue anyone who showed photos of her nude in the future. It is said that all victims of the latest attack are the celebrities who were on a list of 101 people sent to 4chan immediately after the first set of images is disseminated. This repertoire of files contains photos and videos of world-famous people , and the hacker has said that he has more in his possession.

In any case, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple , stated at the time that the most important thing to guarantee the security of content stored in the cloud  is not so much the technological factor as using passwords that are difficult to crack and the double verification system . In fact, the multinational company defended that there has been no failure in the protection of the devices, if not that  the keys that the famous ones had in iCloud were very easy to guess.

Despite Apple's statements , we will have to see if it can alleviate user concerns regarding their online security.
