Yesterday the new Samsung Galaxy S10 family, consisting of no less than three models, was put on sale . On the one hand, the Samsung Galaxy S10e, a terminal that seeks to offer high-end features in a more restrained size. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S10, the standard model with a slightly larger screen and the same camera as the top of the range. And we also have the Samsung Galaxy S10 +, the model with the largest screen and dual front cameras.
As they say, the more sugar the sweeter. However, not everyone may be clear about the differences between these three magnificent terminals. Is it worth investing more money in the top of the range model? Or maybe with the S10e I'll have enough? To try to clear up any doubts you may have, we are going to make a small comparison of the three devices. Samsung Galaxy S10 +, S10 or S10e, which is the best for me?

Flat or curved screen?
Samsung Galaxy S10e
One of the big differences we find between the S10e and its older brothers is its design. First from the front, since the S10e's screen does not curve to the sides . It is also smaller and has less resolution, with 5.8 inches and FHD + resolution .
Something similar happens at the rear. Glass is kept as the main material, but it does not curve at the ends . The camera system is positioned centrally and horizontally. And the fingerprint reader goes to the side , in the purest style of Sony phones.
In short, the S10e is a more compact terminal but that maintains the Infinity-O screen with the front camera placed in a small hole in the upper right corner.
Samsung Galaxy S10
In the image that you have on these lines you can perfectly appreciate the changes at the design level of the Samsung Galaxy S10 with respect to its little brother. The screen grows to 6.1 inches , with a QHD + resolution that is also higher than that of the S10e.
In addition, the screen is curved on the sides , a hallmark of the S range for some years. Otherwise it is very similar, with the front camera positioned in a hole on the far right.
The back is made of glass, but this time it is folded at the edges . Another major difference is that the Samsung Galaxy S10 does have an ultrasonic fingerprint reader placed under the screen .
Samsung Galaxy S10 +
Finally we have the Samsung Galaxy S10 +. This model is practically identical in design to the S10, with the exception of having a larger front hole for including a double camera .
In addition, the screen grows to 6.4 inches , thus matching the size of the Note 9 screen. Of course, the resolution remains at QHD +. We also have the option of opting for a model with a ceramic finish , which corresponds to the terminals with 512 GB and 1 TB of storage.
And being the highest model in the range, you cannot miss the new fingerprint reader under the screen . Additionally, all models are IP68 certified for protection against water and dust.
Two or three cameras?
Along with the design changes, the most notable difference that we find between these three terminals is in its photographic section. The Samsung Galaxy S10e has a dual camera rear system. This is made up of a 12 megapixel main sensor with variable aperture (f / 1.5-f / 2.4) . In addition, it is equipped with Dual Pixel focus and Optical Image Stabilization System (OIS) .
It is accompanied by a second 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f / 2.2 aperture . That is, Samsung has decided to do without the telephoto sensor, so we are left without the option of optical zoom.
On the front we have a 10 megapixel sensor with f / 1.9 aperture and Dual Pixel focus system .
On the other hand we have the triple camera system that equips both the Samsung Galaxy S10 and the S10 + . The two sensors included in the S10e are complemented by a third 12-megapixel telephoto sensor with f / 2.4 aperture and optical image stabilization system (OIS) . This sensor provides us with optical zoom photography, although it does not have great brightness. To know if the difference is noticed or not, we will have to wait for the thorough testing of all the models.
As for the front camera, the Samsung Galaxy S10 has the same sensor as the S10e . For its part, the S10 + equips a more advanced system. It consists of a 10 megapixel main sensor with f / 1.9 aperture and Dual Pixel focus . This is accompanied by a second depth sensor with 8 megapixels of resolution and f / 2.2 aperture .
Same technical set, with changes in memory
Under the hood all three models hide the same processor, the Exynos 9820 . However, each one has a RAM memory capacity. Or at least with various variations depending on the finish we choose.
The S10e is sold in a single model with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage . As for the Samsung Galaxy S10 , we have it available with also 128 GB of storage , but the memory increases to 8 GB of RAM .
Finally we have the S10 + , which can be purchased with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB . But also with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of storage .
Of course, we also have significant differences in battery capacity. The Samsung Galaxy S10e has a 3,100 milliamp battery . That of the Samsung Galaxy S10 increases to 3,400 milliamps . However, the one that stands out in this section is the S10 + , with a 4,100 milliamp battery .
All models have fast charging and wireless charging . In addition, they are all capable of charging other devices thanks to reverse wireless charging .
As you can see, the difference in capacity between the S10e and the S10 + is quite striking . Although it is true that the top model has to deal with a much larger screen, a triple camera on the back and double on the front and more RAM. We will have to wait to see if the autonomy of the S10e and S10 are correct, but if the battery is very important to you, perhaps you should go directly for the larger model.
Price is also a determining factor
If all the models had a very similar cost, most of us would not hesitate to purchase the top-of-the-range model. However, the doubt appears when we review the prices of these three terminals.
First we have the Samsung Galaxy S10e , which has an official price of 760 euros . Second we have the Samsung Galaxy S10 , which is sold with a price of 910 euros . Third, and last, we have the Samsung Galaxy S10 + , which has a price that starts at 1,010 euros . We can also choose one of the ceramic models with 512 GB or 1 TB of storage, with a price of 1,260 euros and 1,610 euros respectively.
In other words, the most expensive model in the Samsung Galaxy S10 family doubles in price to the cheapest model. Given the features and the price I would dare to say, and this is a personal opinion, that the Samsung Galaxy S10e is the most successful purchase for most users . We have a very nice design, a dual camera system that offers the same result as its older brothers, the same processor and 6 GB of RAM, a more than correct amount.
I would choose the Samsung Galaxy S10 if I like bigger screens and if the triple camera makes me excited . It is worth remembering that the only difference is that we will have an optical zoom. Finally, the S10 + is a model reserved for those who are looking for a large screen, need greater autonomy or want, yes or yes, a very large storage capacity . But you know, the choice of a mobile depends a lot on the needs of each user. So, which one do you keep?
