Photo albums have gradually replaced the traditional albums in which we pasted the photos that we had in physical format, giving way to, literally, books with a good impression, volumes edited by professionals whose pages are illustrated with our own images. First, logically, you must have the Google Photos application installed on your mobile. Google Photos is an application that usually comes pre-installed on our Android phones, as it belongs to Google itself. But, if for whatever reason, you cannot find it among the list of your available applications, enter this link in the Google Play Store and download it. Once you have installed it and connected with your Google account, it will scan the photos that we have on our mobile, uploading them to the cloud. You will have unlimited space, although if you want to have some photos in their original size you will only have a limited amount of gigabytes, having to pay an extra if you want more space.
Open the Google Photos application and look at the bottom that you have a series of icons at your disposal. You have to enter ' Albums ' if you want to start making your photo book. If you notice, on this screen the application has already made you some predetermined albums, among which you can see albums of recent trips. In my case, for example, as you can see in the screenshot , Google Photos has made me a compilation of a trip to Bilbao. If we enter the album, we can edit the photos that compose it in order to print an album later. There will be some photos that you don't want included and others that you want to add. In the three-dot menu you have the option to 'Edit album'.
When you click on 'Edit album', all the images appear with an 'x' button to delete them as well as another, at the top, to add images that are not originally in the album. You can also add text to photos as well as reorder them.
When you have finished editing the album and want to send it to be printed, you have to return to the three-point menu and click on 'Create photo book'. A maximum of 100 images can only be included in an album , so if your album has more, the application will suggest the ones it thinks are the best or most suitable for printing. You can either edit the selection that Google Photos has made or see the 'Preview' of the album.
The next screen that appears is the ' Edit Book ' screen . Click on the page you want to edit and you can place text or delete it. You can also add photos on the book editing screen. Once you have finished editing, you can send the book to print by clicking on the 'Finish purchase' icon.
A 100-page book has a softback book price of 51.21 euros , 0.50 cents per additional page (if you could include it). If you prefer it hardcover, it would be 76.81 euros, 0.70 cents per additional page. These are the maximum prices, if you want less quantity of photos the price will decrease. The minimum price for a softcover album is 13 euros for 20 pages and a hardcover for 23 euros and 20 pages.
