This week the IFA 2019, one of the most important electronics fairs of the year, is taking place in Berlin. And as usual, Alcatel has taken advantage of the event to present the renewal of its range of mobiles. One of the novelties is the Alcatel 3X, which receives a very important update in both design and features . The Alcatel 3X 2019 incorporates a large 6.52-inch screen, changes to a teardrop-notched design and includes a triple camera on its rear.
The best compared to its predecessor do not end there. The new model has a much more capable battery, a direct access button to the Google assistant, increases its internal memory and also its RAM memory. And all this while maintaining a really affordable price. Renovated design to become "fashionable"
The new Alcatel 3X 2019 sports a completely renewed design. We now have glass on both the front and the back . On the front, the upper frame has been eliminated, opting for a drop-shaped notch . This is positioned in the center of the screen and does not look overly large. We do have a somewhat larger frame at the bottom.
As for the rear, the triple camera is at the extreme left and in a vertical position. The fingerprint reader is positioned in the center, leaving the Alcatel logo at the bottom.
The screen has grown considerably. Now equips a 6.52-inch panel with HD + resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels . The use of the aforementioned small notch makes the body-screen ratio of the device 89%.
Triple camera on the rear
Alcatel has always wanted to bring the news of high-end mobiles to terminals with a more content price. And what "takes" this year is the triple camera. So said and done. The Alcatel 3X 2019 is equipped with a triple sensor on its rear .
It is equipped with a 16 megapixel main sensor and f / 1.8 aperture . It is accompanied by an ultra-wide angle of 118º, 8 megapixels and f / 2.2 aperture . The trio is completed by a third sensor with 5 megapixels of resolution and f / 2.4 aperture .
They all make up the triple rear camera system. A camera that is capable of recording with 1080p resolution at 30fps , that allows you to modify the blur before shooting and that has a scene detection system.
On the front it has an 8 megapixel sensor with f / 2.0 aperture . It uses 1.12 µm pixels and has an angle of 80.6º. The front camera is capable of recording video with 1080p resolution at 30fps and has the usual beauty mode.
More powerful processor, more battery and expanded memory
If we look under the hood of the Alcatel 3X 2019 we also find many new features. The first the engine, which now happens to be a MT6763V chipset with eight cores . They come with 4 or 6 GB of RAM , depending on the version. The internal storage is also variable, which can be 64 or 128 GB . Both can be expanded using a Micro SD card up to 128GB.
The battery has also been expanded. The new model has 4,000 mAh , no less than 1,000 mAh more than last year's Alcatel 3X. It is equipped with a USB Type-C connector for charging, but it does not have fast charging.
Finally, the new Alcatel model has good connectivity. It offers 4G LTE connection, has 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and dual Nano SIM. In addition, it is equipped with FM Radio and 3.5mm jack connector for headphones. It even has NFC.
Price and availability
The Alcatel 3X 2019 will hit the market next October in two versions. On the one hand, it will be available with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage with an official price of 160 euros .
