After a few weeks receiving leaks, the new Xiaomi Redmi 7A has finally been unveiled, an entry terminal for all audiences. The device, which has been seen on the Weibo social network, comes with simple features, among which we can highlight P2i protection. Like the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro, the chassis of this terminal is able to repel water droplets, so that they do not penetrate inside.
For the rest, the new model has an eight-core processor, 2 or 3 GB of RAM, a main camera of 13 megapixels and Android 9 Pie system under MIUI 10. The Xiaomi Redmi 7A follows the design line of other sister models, although without forgetting that it borders on the entry range. The company has used plastic in its construction, although it has provided it with P2i protection. This means that we will not have to avoid splashing if there is a rainy day, or we have it near the sink in the bathroom. Its design is simple, with rounded edges and a clean rear, in which there is only room for the main sensor, the flash and the company logo (located very discreetly).
Unlike other current equipment, in which a notch or perforation is added on the screen to avoid the frames, the Redmi 7A does have wide frames on both sides of the panel. This one has a size of 5.45 inches, a resolution of 1,440 x 720 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 18: 9. Inside there is room for a Snapdragon 439 processor, an eight-core chip running at a speed of up to 1.9 Ghz. This is accompanied by 2 or 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB or 32 GB for storage (expandable by using microSD type cards).
On a photographic level, it continues to demonstrate its simplicity. It includes a single 13-megapixel sensor (with flash) and a 5-megapixel front sensor for selfies. As for the rest of the features, the device is governed by Android 9 Pie under MIUI 10, Xiaomi's customization layer.
