Asus has presented the new  Transformer Book T101 , a 2-in-1 convertible computer that arrives ready to seduce users who need maximum portability. The new Asus team offers a 10.1-inch screen that we can place in up to 4 positions thanks to  very resistant reversible hinges . A 2-in-1 computer designed in aluminum , weighing only 580 grams and that has an Intel Atom X5 processor and up to 4 GB of RAM memory inside . We are going to review in depth what the new Asus Transformer Book T101 can offer us .

The Asus Transformer Book T101 is a 2-in-1 computer that has been built in aluminum to offer both lightness and resistance. The weight of the device is 580 grams , although it increases to 1.08 kilograms when we include the keyboard . The overall dimensions of the device, including keyboard, are 261 x 175 x 10 mm . It is available in three color options: rose gold , green, and gray .

But what really stands out about the  Asus Transformer Book T101's design are the hinges. The Asus device is equipped with a reversible magnetic hinge that attaches the keyboard to the tablet, allowing the tablet to be disassembled, reattached and rotated. Thanks to this hinge we get two new display modes, apart from the standard laptop and tablet configurations. The Tent mode to share the screen with several people and Mode Supportto consume multimedia content. The powerful magnets on the hinge have been precisely positioned to make joining and separating the keyboard and display as easy as possible, and have been stress tested for strength.

The keyboard features a beehive-inspired patterned design and is fitted with ergonomic 1.5-millimeter travel keys for comfortable typing, like a full-size laptop. The keyboard also features a Touchpad compatible with Windows gestures and palm recognition technology , which prevents accidental typing errors.

At the hardware level, the Asus Transformer Book T101 features a 10.1 - inch screen with a resolution of 1200 x 800 pixels . The screen offers a brightness of up to 400 cd / m2 , a 178-degree viewing angle and is equipped with ASUS TruVivid technology , which offers a clearer image and reduces reflections from the screen. It also incorporates ASUS Tru2Life video technology , which uses intelligent algorithms to optimize the sharpness and contrast of each frame.

Inside the  Asus Transformer Book T101 we find a quad-core Intel Atom X5 processor , up to 4 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of eMMC storage . At the connectivity level we have a Micro SD reader compatible with cards up to 512 GB, 802.11ac WiFi , standard-size USB 2.0 Type A port, micro-HDMI port and a micro-USB port that also allows the device to be charged. The latter also accepts charging from external batteries , a very unusual feature for a laptop. In addition the company includes aFree one-year subscription to ASUS WebStorage cloud service .

The  Asus Transformer Book T101 will be available in the coming days in gray with a price of 400 euros . If we prefer green or pink we will have to wait until next year.
